My daughter decided she wanted to start pooping on the potty. She doesn’t seem to wipe well (if at all). What did you do to 1 – help her learn it 2 – the best way to manage the mess afterwards? Do you pick her up after pooping and then put her down on her changing table to wipe up? I just don’t know how to deal with the mess as her wiping seems to make things worse..

i wipe my daughter in the bathroom, she lean over and holds my legs i wipe her and then when she is clean i let her use a flushable wipe and wipe herself. they feel like theyre actually being big girls/booys if you involve them in the process. but honestly it is whatever works for you

There are flushable wipes that you can buy that make it easier to wipe in the bathroom. I take my son off the potty and bend him over my lap. We let him attempt to wipe with toilet paper, then do it again with a wipe.

My daughter isn't pooping in the potty yet, but when she goes in the pull up we put it in the potty and then I take her to the table to wipe. I've tried wiping her standing up in the bathroom and found it takes more wipes lol. I find it easier just to lay her down. When she does start going in the potty though I will probably just take her to her table until I feel she's able to do it on her own. I do let her wipe after she pees in the potty, but usually go behind with a wipe every other trip to the potty.

At this point when Aliyah poops on the potty I wipe her butt. I have taught her to lean over and grab my leg so I can get at her behind without making her get off the toilet.
When she pees I will give her a wipe or some TP and let her try and wipe herself. Hope that helps. :)
