My name is Nicolette, I have 3 children, my son who is almost 2, he is a red head and he is a screemer! I cant get him to stop the screeming!!! yelling does nothing just makes it worse! giving him a little smack does nothing just makes it worse! I try talking to him in a soft tone and that doesnt work! does anyone have something else i can try? do I just give in and give him what he wants?

hey my name jade and i have a son who 2 yr old and he scream when he doesn't get his own way or just at anything. what do i do about it

I'd go with ignoring him. Don't even try to talk to him. Simply turn your back on him and leave the room. If you are in public, leave wherever you are, still without talking to him. It won't work right away, but if you do it consistently for a week or so, eventually he'll get the message.

When my son starts screaming I just ignore him completely. and i firmly say i cant understand you when you scream at me.. i never give in to what he wants while hes sceaming.. I usually have to walk out of the room and sometimes that makes his screaming fit worse but only for a second.. his have calmed down dramatically since i took this approach (i was screaming back at him) now he just screams to be funny which is also sort of annoying! :) We have this thing where I'll tell him he's gonna get a BIG SPANKIN' and for some reason he's terrified of big spankings and usually stops in his tracks.. maybe if he thinks for screaming that he's gonna get a bigger than usual spanking - he'll be quiet.. idk.. GOOD LUCK!
