Sleeping

Hello everyone...I'm sure all of you have just finished your child's 18 month well-baby and are asking yourself, can it be true, is my baby already a year and a half? I had a question about sleeping. My daughter Maddie is still nursing at night...but also still not sleeping through the night. I have been lots of places, read lots of horror stories, but I was just wondering if other people have the same issues, and any miracle remedies? We are in a regular routine, she runs herself out during the day, she's in bed between 7:30 and 8:30. The good news is, when she does get up, she normally just eats and goes right back down. But, sometimes this will happen 3-4 times a night!! I am praying it is teeth and these last two come in and it's over, but I guess I'll have to wait and see!

I just weaned my son, and now he's finally sleeping through the night. I did it slowly, cutting out one feeding at a time. Every time he woke up, and the feedings were over with, i would go in right away, tell him to lay down, and go night-night several times, and soemtimes I would offer a little bit of comfort. Then, I would leave and let him cry. he would cry a little (out of protest), but at least he knew I had not abandoned him. If I didn't go to him at all he would have cried a whole lot longer, and we all would have been miserable. Eventually when all of the night feedings were done, it was like magic, because he finally slept through the night! This actually just started last week-hope it helps you....
