I have a 2 year old boy and I just started potty taining. I think asking him every half an hour to an hour if he has to go, taking him with me when i go to the bathroom, letting him see his big brother use the big boy potty, and celebrateing everytime he does go to his potty has worked out for me. I give him a sticker or an m&m and tell him "you did it" and ask him to give me a high five, He likes that... And everytime he uses the potty i empty it into the big toilet and ask him to flush.

My daughter also likes to have "Pee Parties" where we go together. She was 90% trained at 18months and then regressed and we hit the training hard core starting the day after Christmas with only big girl underwear and its going great, no accidents in the last 3 days. We give her a gummy bear when she goes to the potty, sticker charts work well also. I don't recommend training pants as they are just like diapers, they need to feel uncomfortable when they have an accident so either cloth diapers or big kid underwear. Oh yeah, Maia also LOVES the dvd Elmo's Potty Time. Good luck!

Try to take her every hour to the potty and have her try to go. When she goes praise her. Get her excited about wearing pull ups and panties and tell her how she's a big girl now. Always take her when she gets up from sleeping because she will definitely have to go then. Just take her lead so she doesn't regress or refuse to go. Good luck.
