My son is a Thomas the tank engine fanatic. He's having a Thomas themed birthday party. He's into a lot of thing like reading and music but I think aThomas tops his list.

My son is getting his "big" bed. His brother got a jeep bed for his 3rd birthday, now my youngest is getting a fire engine bed (they picked the beds out themselves).

We are getting our son a fire truck and a realistic tool set for Christmas. He is very much into cars, trucks, trains and Toy Story, so for his birthday we will choose something along those lines. His birthday is 2 days after Christmas, so I haven't actually gotten anything yet.

My daughter will be getting a Mobigo by VTech. She plays with her sister's all the time, so that will avoid some fighting! She is also getting a doll. She loves playing with dolls but doesn't have her own. Again, she plays with her sister's so I thought it would be nice if she had her own. For Christmas she will be getting a bath for her doll and her godparents bought her the stroller, playpen, carrier set by Graco. I can't wait to see her little face!!

Ooh, I forgot to add that we come from a musical family (my husband is a musician and we both sing and play guitar/keys) and consequently when our 3 year old started to show interest in drumming at age 6 months we took notice! He had a toy drum from age 1, and at 2.5 years his Daddy bought him his own real drum kit (an old 1980s jazz kit that we are going to fix up over the years so we don't have to buy him a new one in his teens). We keep it in the baby's room, so that he can only play when his little brother is awake! When baby's in bed, Joel sets up a "pillow kit" in the lounge - pulling cushions and pillows in from all over the house, and drums to music dvds and cds - without waking up Jamie!

Joel just had his birthday party with family on Sunday, so we gave him his presents then (even though his birthday is tomorrow, on Dec 2nd - and his little brother Jamie shares the same birthday, he'll be 1 tomorrow!) We bought Joel a balance bike from Mocka (a New Zealand brand, we are kiwis). It's a small wooden bike without pedals, so kids can learn to balance on a bicycle without worrying about pedals. It also means you don't have to worry about training wheels when they're on their first real bike. They can use them 'til they're 5 or 6. We got Jamie a trike for his birthday. Both the boys love their new bikes! For Christmas, we're getting our 3 year old a big duplo set (diggers and a crane, demolition!) that we got on sale for 50% off. Merry Christmas everyone!

Trikes! I'm super excited about it. One of my boys has Cerebral Palsy, and our children's therapy people fitted a bike for him to be able to ride (with assistance of course)!

My son actually turns 3 on Monday which is just before December. He is getting a workbench and tools. Also, dinosaur toys and more pieces to his trains. He loves drums, too... but we take him a band facility for that... not at home. Happy Birthday to all!
