I use teething rings and my son is picky and doesn't like orajel..we have some teething tablets, but I just didn't know if there was any other relief when he gets into the miserable crying fits...I just feel so helpless =(

Well I used to do day care and I my son was teething at four months here are some of the remedies that worked for us

Frozen banana popsicles (natural no added sugar) either let him suck on it or chop it up and feed it to him

Get the soothie pacifiers and put water in the middle and stick them in the freezer(this also helps on a hot day when it's naptime)

1.4 ml baby tylenol and baby orajel swabs

get a clean wash cloth and use very cold water and let him suck on that and chew it, also you could put it in the freezer but I would not recommend freezing it completely. just so it's very very cold

there are a bunch more but those have worked the best...best of luck to you sweetie

Bellarose hates orajel too. When she's really hurting I just try to make her as comfortable as possible. I take her a bath, give her some tylenol or teething tablets and give her a pacifier. She calms down and usually falls asleep... relaxed.

I use the gel - but when that doesnt work I give her a little panadol. Works like a charm.

When all else fails Ralph really likes frozen fruit in his mesh feeder.

I have to use tylenol when the crying gets to be too much too. It takes a bit to kick in, but as soon as it does my daughter is back to her normal self again. :)

I use the teething tablets too, they help sometimes. But when my son gets in those miserable crying fits I give him some infant Tylenol and he's fine. He'll take that, take a nap, and when he wakes up he's back to his old happy self. Check with your doc or the pharmacist about how much to give him.
