My son is 11.5 months old and still has no teeth. I am wondering if anyone else out there has a baby that age with no teeth? I can see one of his bottom ones through his gums. But I am still waiting for it to come through!

I don't even see teeth pushing through yet! And Kaylee is 12.5, but everyone I've talked to has similar stories...we aren't worried. She does great gumming up anything we give her anyways!

Definitely not alone! My daughter turned 1 on the 9th and her first tooth popped through on the 11th. She's been working on seven of them for months now - she's up to two, with number three about to pop any day now!

I was worried as well. Maybe I should have posted something but my daughter, who just turned 1 didn't have any teeth until a week prior to her birthday. as soon as I seen the slits in her gums I started screaming and calling everyone. I was more excited about that then when she took her first steps. She ended up getting both bottom teeth at the exact same time. They are still growing in very evenly. Be patient, they will come!

I thought I was alone in this. Everyone else's baby who was months behind mine had a number of teeth (6 mo. boys w/2+ and 10 mo. boy w/7 teeth) and mine seemed to be teething forever with no teeth at all. I just now see one peeking through his gum at 12 mo

Well our son just turn 12 months last week he had been teething for four months and his bottom left tooth popped through but not fully. So now we are waiting for it to break all the way through

As you can see you're not alone! Our Kathryn just turned one, still no teeth, though they've looked like they've been ready to pop through her gums -incisors, canines, molars and all- for months now! Apparently my hubby was a late teether, too.

My son just turned 1 year old on Dec 15. Although he already has three teeth (2 bottom teeth and 1 tooth on the top), I still worry when I see other children who are about his age who seems to have more teeth than him.
But seeing the number of replies you've got, looks like our children are fine and we have nothing to worry about, eh? :)

Hiya, I've also heard that its a good thing if they take longer, but a little advise, brush his gums twice a day anyway, so he gets used to the feeling especially at the back, otherwise it could be a huge struggle!!

hi my son just turned 1 on monday 14th dec and has been teething since he was 3 months old and still no sign of any teeth, so i really would not worry every baby is different. am sure they will come soon!

My daughter turned 1 on the 2nd and has no teeth yet. She's had drooly spells throughout the year but no teeth yet. On the other hand my son had 6 or 8 teeth when he was a year. Every child is different, They'll come through when they are ready.

My daughter turns 1 year old next week (Dec. 18) and still has no teeth... we are waiting.... but not one has popped through yet... Although... this doesn't stop her from eating anything and everything haha.
People say that since she is late getting them they will probably come a couple at a time........ that should be fun.... :(

My daughter just got her first tooth 3 weeks ago and her 2nd one 2 weeks ago ( she was 11months old)
Dont worry about it, babies grow differently. My daughter is happy and healthy and just fine without a mouthful of teeth! lol

my first child did not get his first tooth til he was a year. I've heard it's actually best to get them late, especially if they don't like to have them brushed, they have less of a chance of having decay.

My daughter didnt get her first tooth untill she was 10 months and 1 week she is now 11 months and 2 weeks and has 5 now! It has been a ride, 5 weeks of full cutting, I found frozen blueberries helped as she didnt like teethers! Apparently my mother-in-law didnt get her first tooth untill she was 11 months, she is also a dentist now and said there is absolutely nothing to worry about.

My daughter Kaya is 11 months she's been teething since she was 2 1/2 months old but no theeth yet everytime she has a bad teething session I hope they some through her gums are light pink at the moment I do see some white bits in her gums I hope soon her teeth come through..........

I have a friend that has a littel girl and she didn't get any teeth untill she was 13 months old. your baby will have better teeth the longer he keeps his in his gums. he'll loose them leter then his future friends as well. my oldest son is in 1st grade and all of his friends have already lost at least 4 teeth. I was told by the dentist it was because he teethed later, he didn't get his first tooth till he was 11 months aswell. so no worries, healthier teeth are so much better to have. hope this helps.

One of my friends' little girls did not get her first tooth until she was 15 months. She was really worried about it, but the Dr. told her not to worry until 18 months. Plenty of time for those teeth to come through.

My daughter will be a year in 10 days and she has visible little teeth under the gums for what seems like forever! She still drools sometimes when they bother her, but for the most part she doesn't seem to mind. And she has no problem gumming solid foods!

Don't worry. If you can see the bottom one coming up then there's not a problem. it took my daughter a while to get bottom tooth.

Yes, both my little ones went through that, were lucky though. they will have healthy teeth. My son got his at 11.5 months and my daughter a little over 1yr. My daughter wasn't fussy at all they just popped out one by one really fast. She got her molers in and I didn't even know it. If they have a rash and diarrhea then they teeth are on there way. :)

Do not fret, my 2 year daughter did not start getting teeth until after she was 1 and the doctors said it was normal, because all kids are different. On another note once she began to get those teeth they came in one after the other, wasting no time. I hope thsi helps you.

My daughter has 6 but I myself didn't have my first tooth come through until I was 13 months!! I also was very late losing my first tooth... I think I was around 7. :-) guess we are all different!

My first didn't get teeth until 13 months, I could see where they all were, top and bottom but they never came through. The doctor almost wanted to send him to a pediatric dentist. But my second is almost 11 months and just cut her first tooth about 2 wks ago. Each child is different. Don't worry they will come in, they comes the biting.

Yep! My son only has 2 bottom teeth. The second one just came in on Halloween. I'm tired of buying baby food.

Well I can kinda relate. My daughter has two bottom teeth and she has been teething since she was 3 months old and she has had one of her top teeth is pressing down for over a month but still hasn't come up yet...

YUP - yoou are not alone :)
My daughter has had teeth pressing at her gums on and of since 3Months of age - but not one of them has actually popped through yet! Hopefully they will all comeout in quick succession.
