About a week ago, my daughter had a 101 fever, not eating much, and complaining about her ears. We were convinced that she had another ear infection, as she gets them about twice a year. So we spent our Mother's Day morning seeing a nurse practitioner who said her ears were perfectly clear and throat was a little red. Her rapid strep test was negative, which surprised the nurse (the longer strep test also came back negative). She's had loose at times this week too. We kept her home from daycare Monday and Tuesday, though by Monday night the fever was gone....until this afternoon (Friday) when the 101 temperature came back, she was a little fussy and clingy but ate soft food ok. She let us look in her mouth and it appears her back molar is trying to come through. Just not sure if all of these are symptoms of 2 year molars, especially the on and off fever...

hmmm, sounds more like a virus to me than symptoms of 2 year molars. Lots of my friends have found that teething seems to reduce a childs immune system so illness seems to come hand in hand with teething. But it's a bit chicken and egg isn't it? All the best and hope those babies pop through soon. I'm still waiting.....

I'm not sure about symptoms of 2 year molars in particular, but every time my oldest got new teeth he ran a fever of 102.9. It got so I could predict new teeth within a couple days of a fever, and it always was exact 102.9 if it was teeth, random I know. My youngest doesn't run fevers, so in short, those could totally be teething symptoms.
