Constantly sick!

Hi everyone, it seems as though my 16 month old is constantly sick. I can go maybe a week with no illness. A runny nose/cough isn't overly concerning as he is in daycare afterall. But he's had so many fevers over the last 16 months :( I had to pick him up again today from daycare due to a high fever. I know during their first year at daycare they can get 8-10 colds in the cold/flu season but I swear he's had more. He's had bronchiolitis (sp) and bronchitis a couple of times and nobody else's kid the same age that I know has had this. Is it just that my kid is prone to more viruses? I thought breastfeeding was supposed to help their immune system? I breastfed him until he was 9 months old.

Any tips/stories? Thanks!

YES!!! I have a HUGE tip! Your son sounds EXACTLY like my children did! My son is still in the sickness stage of things, but im sure my daughter who is now 6 has outgrown it! Your son is too young to test they will say, but from my experience, it sounds like he has asthma. Asthma can show signs of other sickness and it will continue that way till properly treated. I have FINALLY got an at home nebulizer and I swear his sicknesses and breathing issues have died down TONS! I would talk to your pediatrician about it as soon as you can! Eli went from Nov 09 till March of this year will bad chest x-rays, and once he started breathing treatments regularly, his one in April was ALL clear! Good luck and stick on the dr. for it! Too many anti-b's can be harmful, so I hope you get another answer and soon!
