Hi, my little girl Hayden is 3 1/2 months old. Does anyone have any tips as to how to help her roll over and learn to sit on her own?

I do have the bumbo, I got it as a baby shower gift and she loves it. I put her up on the counter as well but watch her carefully. I don't have the tray for it. Do you know where you can buy one?

my first daughter didn't sit up until 6 months. I got the bumbo for my 11wk old daughter this time. she always wants to be in a sitting position when we're holding her, so it makes it nice to be able to put her in it and keep her happy without holding her constantly. i've even put her safely up on the counter while i'm doing stuff in the kitchen (although they don't suggest putting them on an elevated surface), i just make sure she's nowhere near the edge and i watch her and talk to her while i put dishes away or whatever. it also has a tray for toys and eventually finger foods and stuff. they're basically indestructable, so buy used if you want to save money. i got mine on craigslist. they're suggested for ages 6wks to 14mo.

Hayden isn't the biggest fan of tummy time either but we have a mat the has toys on it and we also have this jelly bean pillow that we put under her chest so she is propped up a little more and not just straight on her tummy. it still helps strenthen her arms and she will go up to 10 minutes on her tummy before really starting to fuss. You can get the mat and pillow at Walmart I believe. Hope it helps
Ps: Thanks for the tip

my friend has one of those hard plastic chairs i think its called a Bumby , wait here is a link to where else Babies R US

she said that she has heard that these will help the child sit up on their own faster. when we had a play date last week i put my Parker in it (3 mths) and he loved it and has increased the times where he will lift his head and back up (looks like he's doing a crunch ) so...maybe it will work.
i also heard a mom say that it wasnt until 7 mths with her first baby until they sat up on their own.
My Pediatrician claims just lots of tummy time too to strengthen muscles, my lil guy hates tummy time after 2 mins --so any suggestions on that one?
