Hello- returning to work?

I had Colton on Dec 9th and have been back at work since Feb 9th. I still cry all the way to work everyday!! I think it gets a little easier, but it hasn't for me. I just keep telling myself that I have to work to provide for him and I make sure when I get home he gets all my attention...so my house doesn't! It's hard especially when I don't have someone at home to help. My husband drives a truck over the road and I am home by myself pretty much all the time. He left the morning after I had Colton and his boss wouldn't let him come back toward the house until Colton was 2 weeks old! I hate it. He is definitely looking for work that he will be home everyday.

Good luck to you! I just call and check on Colon a lot throughout the day that helps as well.

Im extremely luck - I didnt actually get any official time off work but my job is one where I can pretty much dictate where and when I will do it. I can understand the feeling though - Im resisting putting her into daycare for even 1 day a week because I dont want to miss out on anything!

Hi! my son David Joseph was born December 8th, i went back to work beginning of march, and it was the hardest thing to do! i was devestated to leave him, and felt like i would miss so much, luckily my sister in law lives a block away and has a 6 month old, and also used to teach at a daycare- stays with him during the day! And everyday i pick him up she has a log of everytime she changed him, when he ate & how much, and what he did today! its great!!! I'm just happy he's with some1 who loves him as much as i do! hope this helps... and it will get easier with time, and the time u do get to spend is that much more precious!

Hello. My son was born December 10th. His name is Dylan Matthew. No I haven't returned to work. I quit my job to stay home. I felt the same way you did. But I do have some suggestions. Maybe your day care provider could take pictures through out the day or could write things down your daughter is doing so that way you feel like you were there or you can see pictures of her. I hope this helps.

I went back to work when my son was 12 weeks. My husband works nights so he stays home with during the day so we don't have to pay daycare expenses.



I feel like I miss out a lot as well not being there but I am glad to know he is home with his father then with some strangers throughout the day. Good Luck!
