try getting him up earlier and don't let him take a late night. You will just have to try to keep him up so he will be sleepy.

Maybe take shorter naps. My daughter schedules is like so:

6:45 - 7 Breakfast

9 - snack

10 Nap

1145-12 Lunch

2 Snack

3 Nap

5 Supper

730Bath

8 Snack (Last bottle)

9 Sleep

Of course this is flexible depending on your routine. :) Hope this helps

Just stick to the schedule you set and baby will soon follow. Our day is something like this: wake between 6am - 7am, nurse, play, breakfast, play, nap at 9 or 9:30am, they wake about an hour later (sometimes longer), nurse, play, lunch, play, nap at about 1:30pm, wake up about an hour later (sometimes longer), nurse, play, dinner, play, then at 6pm it's bath, nurse, and bed. They do wake up still once (sometimes twice) a night to nurse then go right back to sleep.

Keep him up and active as much as possible during the day and if he has trouble going to sleep a bit earlier at night you can try a quiet time routine to try and signal that it is time to wind down eg dim lights, no noisy/flashy toys or play. I used to strap bub into her rocking seat and put her in front of a baby einstien - when the dvd got to the colour blue she learned that it was pretty much bedtime :) Good Luck

Our first 5 months were like that. My daughter would not go to sleep before 10pm and she always wanted to have that midnight nurse then go to sleep.

Now we are on a little better of a schedule. First we started with naps during the day. What was really hard was transitioning from the time she woke up to the first nap. So say if he wakes up around 7am for a feeding that is when you would start playing with him. If he show sleepy signs transition into a nap, then when he wakes up again, transition into play...the best advice I ever received was.....Eat, play, sleep....

That is how our days go now. Before it was eat, sleep, eat, sleep...and some play.

I hope this helps...also you can add in some book reading or cuddle time to help the transition....When she was starting to get sleepy I would rock her and read a little board book. This really help.

Our day goes like this:

8am wake, nurse and eat her solids

after eat we play with her toys

between 10 and 11 she is ready for a nap

12 or 1 nurse and solids

more play

3 nap

4 or 5 ish nurse and solids

play till 7pm

bath, books and cuddles

about 730 it lights out

LOL I hope this isnt to much info but it helped me when my friend explained it.

Remember start the transition slow, he will get the hang of it.
