just got some "teething bling" at smartmomjewelry.com... *love* it! it's bpa-free teether jewelry that you wear, which is great because a)it comes with you everywhere so it's one less thing to pack, b)it doesn't get dirty banging around in the diaper bag, c)it's always conveniently on hand, d)the necklace is the perfect length to give the little one when you're holding him

Things I have found helpful:

Dentinox teething gel (v good!)

homeopathic teething granules

amber teething necklace

a frozen carrot to gnaw on!

Calpol if the pain is stopping them feeding properly.

Quoting Shannon:

Quoting Shelby:

i give my daughter a cold wet wash cloth. it helps a lot. i also have a homeopathic medicine, it's called childrens teething relief, you can get it at a healthfood store.

did the homeopathic med make it worse for your daughter before it helped her?  i almost bought that too, but the lady working told me with homeopathic meds, they tend to seem to get worse before it gets better.  so i was nervous to use it.  just wanted to see if you experienced that.

I don't notice it making it worse. The directions say that if it doesnt get better within 20 minutes to give them another dose, sometimes I have to do that, but I dont think it gets worse. It generally gets better right away, and I only give my daughter half of the amount they say to give.

i have already tried using oral gel but it didnt do very much of a good job, and my son would chew on my knuckles but he would chew a little and then just keep crying after..

i have wondered if my daughter is teething already so i bought baby orejel.  i have put it on her gums a feww times when she was really cranky and it has helped.  she also likes to chew on my finger (with finger bent, she chews on the sides by my knuckle).   those are the only things we have done so far. :)
