yah i can't even wash my hair without it falling out in clumps. i have to pull it out of the drain once i am done

Hey yeah my girl is 5 months and i noticed the hair loss when i stopped breastfeeding, which was at 3 months and my hair is still coming out ehhh :) i hear its normal though cos of all of the hormones whilst pregnant.

My sister always complained about hair loss after each of her three pregnancies, but I didn't experience it with the first one. I just had the second baby four months ago and it's now falling out. I have patches in both temples, but I'm not too worried about it, because it is hormonal.

My hair has been falling out since March and it doesn't look like it's letting up any! It is really scary to see the handfuls! Can't wait for the hormones to settle back to normal!

This never happened with my first baby...I was thinking OMG..i have super thin hair as is. Good to know there are others out there too :)

OMG! I was just telling my husband last week that I think I'm going bald. I was thinking it was stress also. But yeah...more hair than normal falling out! Very Scary

I have the same problem - started around 3mths post baby and still going - I was told of a Supplement called PANTO-3 which i finally found yesterday in a health store. Suppose to help Hair, Nails and Skin - so we will see. Completely fed up finding hair everywhere, especially in my little girls hand and wrapped around her fingers.

Yes its all normal. I just had my third child Dec 31 and i have been losing my hair in chunkc as well. Happened with all 3 preganancies. Don' worry it will soon stop.

I asked my doctor about it when I went for my check up a couple months after Lucas was born and he said it's normal for about the first 4-5 months, but if it lasts much past five months to talk to your doctor. My doctor said sometimes women have thyroid problems after pregnancy and hair loss is a symptom.

I am glad I am not alone ... i know its freaky:P in the morning when I wake up my pillow is full of my hair and everywhere i go in the house i seem to leave a trail... hopes its gets better soon

It is crazy...... I have been losing hair like you wouldn't believe. I have never had this issue before. Maybe it is post pregnancy related. I just never knew how to explain it. I thought maybe I was just stressed out but maybe it is the combination of both.

Thank goodness for that I thought it was just me. My husband keeps telling me I'm going bald! Everytime I brush my hair the brush comes away full, my pillow is covered every morning and it probably doesn't help that my daughter loves to pull it :-)

Glad to see I'm not the only one!! I'm glad to see there's hope and this will taper off soon. I know my fiance hates seeing all the hair on the floor, I personall think it's because he doesn't have much, but noticed the hair balls are getting bigger and scarier, so he may have a point..

I know, the hair lost has been just crazy. I feel like I am sweeping up a huge pile everyday, not to mention the giant ball I lose in the shower. Thankfully I have a really thick head of hair. :)

HECK YEAH! Thankfully it's starting to ease up. It started right around 3 months after sweet baby was born. Now, at 4 1/2 mos, it's more like before I was preggers.

Again I have been dealing with the same problem I figured that it was just related to having my son Colt. but I find it everywhere! On him in my purse in our laundry its like my hair has taken over our house!

mine too! I tought it was just me! I'm pretty sure i could make a wig with the hair that falls out, it's crazy! it's especially bad when i shower, i hope it stops soon or lese i'll be bald!

The same thing has happened to me! I was wondering if it was hormone related. So the big question is... will it ever stop or come back?? My hair used to be soo thick, now its thin and awful looking. I keep threatening to chop it off!

i was told that when preg you don't lose much hair.when you have bub from around 3 months after, you lose all the hair you should have lost while preg... someone did mention if it was more than 100 strands to get it checked out as could have a thyroid prob that is developed when pregnant.

Yes i have been feeling a little freakish too, mine is so bad at times it clogs the plughole in the shower :( My hairline has receded quite alot at my temples, but on the bright side, it looks like its starting to grow back

Yes, very hormonal...My hair is also coming out in handfuls...too bad we can't donate it to all the bald men in the world! At the same time, my daughter's has been coming out, too!

Yeah me too!! mine started at 3 months and is still going!
my hair is really fine anyway, but now you can see through it. i used to be a hairdresser and often reassured my clients, now it's me. When you're pregnant the normal growth cycle stops so therefore your hair looks ' thick and healthy" then it starts again. Hair falls out normally everyday as each hair is only on us for three months, but there is always more there so we don't notice it. So now the time is here that the cycle is going back to normal.
BUT it is still freaky, i have been close to tears some days. even knowing the explanation doesn't make you feel any better! ;-)

yes! mine isn't coming out in clumps or anything, but i've noticed much more in my hands during shower time and when i brush. i thought i was a total freak, haha.
