Mylie was born on Dec 19th 2008. She is so interested by the toilet, and she knows what its for. I cant even go to the bathroom by myself, she wants to be in there with me. I dont have an actual "potty", i have the seat that you just put on the regular toilet. She even goes to the toilet sometimes, and puts her seat on the toilet, and says "pee, Mama." But when i sit her on it, she wont do anything.
Any tips on getting her started potty training, or even potty trained?!

I'm not potty training yet but I definitely recommend getting a little potty and even a potty book for your child. We are just warming our little one up right now. She's lately been stripping her diaper off and I keep telling her she has to wear the diaper until she can go pee pee and poo poo in the potty. I always tell her that I have to go Pee Pee on the potty.

I really like Nicole's idea, but I wonder if it were to have the same effect on boys? My son is at the stage where he holds himself when he pee pees and doesnt like the feeling of poo poo for more than a minute after he dirties a diaper. And he is very interested in the potty and we have a little one.

I put my daughter in underwear. The first day lots of big accidents (you may want to just get one of those little potty's and take it outside and spend the day out there) She would say potty right after she went. I would also put her on her potty every 1/2 hr to hr. As the days went on she had less accidents and when she did have them they were less and less. Now she stays dry most of the day and when she does have an accident its a very small amount but she catches herself. I even took her to the beach and while playing in the water she said potty. I have a fold up potty and we ran to it. She sure enough went on the potty. Personally I think just putting undies on them so they can really feel the wetness helps a lot.

P.S. She made this progress in only one week!!
