The big crease under my 3 month old daughters' neck is pretty red and looks tender. I clean with a warm cloth everyday and try to dry the area. I've tried putting baby oil in the creases, but it seems to just collect in there and not improve the redness. Does anyone have any suggestions to help with this?

My daughter is also 3 months and gets the same thing... DESITIN diaper cream is the key.. I'll put it on once before bed and by morning it is about 95% gone... give it a try it'll work

Hello! This is yeast, and needs to be kept as dry as possible.  After her bath dry the area thoroughly (even with a hair dryer on low and cool would be good) then apply cornstarch.  Repeat throughout the day as needed.  I also use desitin on a really bad yeast rash to protect the skin, then powder to maintain.  Good luck!

My son's was really bad. I called the doctor and she told me to try Lotrimin, the regular kind. I haven't tried it because Desitin did the trick. Is the baby drooling a lot? If that is the case, as it is with mine, than you need to keep the area really dry and Desitin works. I apply it once a day, usually at night after bath time. Hope this helps.

Zinc cream or nappy cream will clear it up after  few days - my son gets it on his legs between the chubby bits :)

My daughter has this to, I found curash powder clears it, but tricky to put on, I get my husband to hold her head up so I can get under her chin :)

My daughter has these too, her doc said to put some vasoline on it. It does seem to help with the redness.

My son Amsden's fat rolls pretty much hide his actual neck. Try washing with water only, pat dry gently or try to get it to air dry. Then a little tiny bit of Vasoline in the creases every few days. It will stay put better than oil.

Good luck!

Hi I also have this problem and normal put a little Sudocrem on there but just a really thin layer, It sometimes happens under the ares as well so I use it there. You just have to remember to clean it and reaply the cream everyday, normaly with this it is gone in a couple of days. Hope this helps you.

My daughter gets this too. I just try and keep that area clean and dry. Ive put diaper cream on it before and that helps. She gets it in her arm pits too, just anywhere the skin is really chubby LOL I call it cheese...
