I just found out trying to Enroll my child in School, that the school district will only accept children who turn 4 years old before the date of Dec 1, to start Pre-K,Which also meanings that he will have to wait till Sept 2014 to start Kindergarden.
Is this for all school districts or is it jus in some of the districts in Long Island NY?

In TX its for those that turn 4 by Sept 1st I believe.

I live in Canada, so here it's turn 4 before December 31st.

If you lived in CT the cut off date is Dec 31 but in some states it is late Aug early Sept. I think it is the same with in a state not sure tho. Good luck I hope you find a school for your little one I know both my kids love going they are 3 and 5 yrs old

It might be for certain districts because i live in Chester,Pa and my son started school when he was 4yr old but only because his b-day is December 29. but my daughter will be 3yrs old and will be enrolled this September only because her b-day is before the 30th.
