Well at least I do not seem to be the only one. Landen is doing the same thing. My other two kids were 8months until they get their first teeth. So I guess I am in your boat too.

Mine is also chewing her hand, and drools alot, and becomes very upset out of the blue and cryes and cryes dosent even want to drink until I can calm her down a bit. Does yours do that aswell I thougt they wouldn't start teething until 6 months old :-/ mine is 11 weeks
My lil boy is doing the exact same thing!! he is 3 1/2 months. He is very hard to calm down. Baby tylenol seems to help a bit.

Wet a face washer and but in the fridge, when cold give to them to chew on. The cold facewasher cold the gums, absorbs the drool and is to big to be swallowed, but small enough to get in there mouth.

Both of my sons have done/are doing this at this age. My first didn't cut his first tooth until about 7 months so I figured it can't be related.

My daughter is 3 months. She is constantly drooling and chewing on her hands also. I don't feel any teeth coming in yet. I tried teething rings but they are too big. Any suggestions to ease her discomfort?

My baby girl is almost 12 weeks old and she's doing the exact same thing. My stepmom told me that she thought she was teething because she chews on the nipple of her bottle. I noticed her excessive drool about a week ago. I know some babies drool more than others, but she isn't one of them. My stepbrother got his first teeth at four months. I read in a magazine that some babies start showing signs (drool, chewing, fussiness, etc.) weeks before the tooth erupts. So who knows, maybe our girls are teething already :D

at first my daughter wouldn't cry, but the past week she has been crying out the blue too. but she will still drink without any problem. yea, i thought she wouldn't start teething until about 6 months either!

My little boy is 13 weeks old and he does the same thing. I dont feel teeth or and bumps that would make me think he is getting ready to get any teeth so I think more then anything he has just found his hands and loves playing with them. ha

My son is turning 12 weeks tomorrow and he is a drool monster and enjoys chewing on everything. Someone told me to take a pacifier and pin prick a hole in it and fill with water and than freeze. Makes a good teether and they drink the water as it melts.

oh wow i didnt know that babies teeth that early on...my daughter has been chewing on her hands now for a couple of weeks and she just turned 3 months yesterday.....i try to look into her mouth to see if i see anything and I am not completely sure if she is teething...I can see where the first two teeth are going to come in and it does look like they are right there but not too sure....I guess i could ask her doctor tomorrow and see what he thinks. This is a great post, i just learned something new about my baby...thanks Girls!!

My little one is 3mnths tommorow and seems to be teething. I thought it was too early as my eldest didnt start til she was much older. She crys in pain but its not wind ect and chews on her hand all the time her gums feel quite bumpy aswel. try using ashton and parsons teething powder. you just put it on the tongue and it works like magic suitable from birth x

My daughter started teething at around 9 weeks. My son had done the same thing and almost broke them out at 3 months, but then they went back down for about a month before they fully started breaking out.

My little guy started about 2 weeks ago, we actually had to move up to tylenol for the pain last night, he was so uncomfortable. This is all new to me too, my two older children didn't even start teething until they were about 6 mos, neither even cut a tooth until 10 mos. Poor little ones. :(

it most probably could be teething, my daughter is 3 1/2 months and she is teething. The only problems are that she probably will not get a tooth for about 1-4 months. And the other problem is that babies cannot have bonjela or other teething gels or oral teething treatments until the 4 month mark. If ur little girl is too uncomfortable with it try giving panadol and having a cold wet washer for her to suck on...my daughter loves this, but other than that you can just go to the good old teething rings..my daughter cant quite hold one so ive just been giving her the washer..good luck with it and i hope this helps a bit
