the transition to a sippy cup also what is classed a sippy cup?

hi i have a 15month old son that only has a bottle 1 of a night and 1 in the morning out of a bottle i have tryed to give him milk in a cup but he wont sit there and drink it all like a bottle i have tryed chocolate milk and still no difference i would like to have him have no bottles but he just wont get at he needs otherwise also during the day he gets water in a cup with a lid is that what i would but his bottle milk in? is a sippy cup a cup with no lid?

Actually, as of yesterday we transitioned to the transition nipples- no bottle in the am or pm! I was shocked... we'll see if we keep it up! Good luck to you!

thanks for your info he drinks from staws and toddler cups during the day so im guessing he should always have a cup with a lid on it? im wondering how to give him milk of a morning and night to cut out bottles?

Have you tried those transition nipples that fit onto your bottles? It's kind of a cross between a regular nipple and sippy cup top- I have some by thinkbaby and also born free. My daughter (also 15 months) will drink some like that during the day, but she hasn't transitioned from the bottle at night/morning... Anyway, just thought it would give you something else to try! My friends used the flip straw variety of sippy cup and they said that worked really well.
