what clothes size is average for a 20 month old

My daughter usually wears Carter or Gymboree and sometimes the occiasional boutique stuff. She is 21 months and wears 12 months. For fall I've started buying 18 month. I know that you aren't critizing Alanna, but for the record dr says she's healthy. Also something I recently learned was that if a child is breastfed they will normally weigh less than formulas fed kids. Weigh charts are usually based on formula fed kids. Whatever size your little one wears probably doesn't matter as much as knowing that you are feeding them lots of healthy fruits and veggies. Oh and another thing, my daughter is practically a vegaterian because no matter how I try, she'll only eat fish!!!

For those of you with nearly two year old wearing pracitally newborn size clothes, do you shop at stores with clothes that fit bigger than the stated size? That just doesnt sound healthy!!!! Im most definitly not critising, just wondering because I have never heard of that besides my friends son who was sick his first year of life and not even making the charts, he is 16 months now and in 12-18 month clothing, and he is soooooooooooooo tiny,

My 20 month old daughter wears mostly 18 month clothes, although some shirts are 24 months. Although she continues to get taller, I was glad that her rate of growing out of clothes slowed down! She has been in 18 month clothes since she was 1 year old.

our daughter is 18 lb wears 18 month shirts, 6-9 month shorts..her 12 month pants are almost high waters, but 18 month pants are way too big......she is still in a size 2 diaper, when she wears one. We had to order cloth pull ups because disposables and undies are too big!! And yes she is potty training at 20 months!
