Our little one is starting preschool soon, and I think we found a place we really like. I was just curious to find out how others did your research and if there were certain things that you prioritized in order to decide which preschool to take your toddler? i.e. cost, food is included, space, outdoor area, good student/teacher ratio, etc. Thanks ladies! :)

Our criteria was outcomes and environment (equally important) followed by accessibility and cost. For us it was important to understand what kind of education they were going to get both formally and socially. We looked at cost last as there was no point in worrying about that unless it was a good place anyway. We loved the feel of the playgroup/school that our daughter goes to and they have a good reputation for the quality of their education too so that sealed the deal for us :)

I'm hoping to get my son into a more preschool type daycare in fall. The main thing I am looking for is how it is structured. Do they offer a variety of experiences for my son such as music, art, playtime, learning activities, etc? What is the environment like: safe, inviting, stimulating? Cost is an issue for me, but not at the expense of quality. I am also looking for my son to be in a group with similarly aged kids, so he can learn how to behave with his peers. Where he his now isn't working, because the kids are older, and he is learning bad habits and words.
