Consider investing in a quality convertible carseat. Your little one is probably outgrowing the infant seat. Yet it is safest to stay rear facing until age two. So getting a top quality convertible car seat is a wonderful gift that will be used for years to come. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00834D...
This one is rated rear facing to 45lbs and forward facing to about 80lbs. Plus get one that is highly rated for side impact too.

For Aaralyn'd Birthday we're getting her a ball pit, as she LOVES to play with balls. For Christmas we've gotten her: A stacking bear, Two bath toy sets, a farm shape sorter, a hammer toy, A leap from magnet thing, a sit and spin, a learning cube, a Little People garbage truck, Little People Petting Zoo, Little People Animalville Town Centre, blocks, ball popping toy and stacking cups. Plus we'll get her some clothes and stuff like that. She's out only one so we're going a little crazy!
