I know they shouldn't have regular milk until they're 1 yr old, but what about other milk based products such as yogurt and cheese?

my daughter has been having it since around 4 months. She loves the natural unflavoured yoghurt. She was formula fed so we were sure she wasnt lactose intolerant. she has only had cheese in a scroll so i dont know what type it was - but she loved that too :)

I have been giving my son full cream yoghurt for about 2 weeks now. I have noticed since been on solids he is not breastfeeding as much anymore.

I've been thinking to try yogurt shortly and maybe cottage cheese but I'm breastfeeding so I need to watch how much I give my daughter. I follow this chart on the website below. It covers anything I can think of. It says between 7-9months for yogurt and 7months for cheese. It actually specifies different cheese at different ages.

Hi Carina,

My daughter is 7 months and has been having yoghurt for a month now, it is a special baby yoghurt so im sure it has all the right things in it. She loves it and has no reactions eating it.
