yeah, my daughter started getting one through last night. she was so unbothered by the the single teeth, so i had no idea why she was grumpy and misbehaving, at least until she bit me.....

My daughter has nine teeth now. She got her molars when she was 15 months. Now she is getting another, the ninth, that has broken through the gum just a little bit. That make 5 teeth since the beginning of Feb!

My 16month old son has 16 teeth & got each one two at a time - I didnt realise either that he was getting the "double teeth" until i felt them! He wasnt very sooky but just kept his fingers in his mouth ALOT!

My son who was a preemie has eight teeth(four at the top and four at the bottom). Today I noticed in the far left bottom of his gums that he is getting one of his back teeth. I knew he had to be teething because he has been overly working his pacifier. He drooled ALOT for his first 8 teeth but for this one, he has been a little grouchy.

Some babies just get there teeth early... My daughter who is now 16 months has had all her teeth (with the exception of the 2 yr. molars which I hope don't come in just yet) since before her 1st birthday. She started teething at 2 months and basically hasn't stopped until now. Which there are days when I think they 2 yr molars may be starting in too!

I also have never heard of "double teeth." Now I know! My son only has 7 teeth still. He got his first tooth later than most of the kids his age so I expect them all to come in later.

I was confused with the word "double" as well. My son's 15mons & cuts teeth 2 @ time...never 1. Like other parents said, it depends on the child. I read that by a child's 1st birthday, they should have 4-6 teeth. My son had 16. Minus the drooling & wanting to bite everything expect a teether, he transitioned extremely well. He's had his 1st dentist visit & though his dentist was amazed by his count, she said they're growing perfectly. Good luck w/the teething.

My son will be 16 months on the 19th and all 20 of his baby teeth have broken through!!! Talk about dangerous! His new nickname is JAWS!!!

My little boy (dec 30th 2008) has cut all off his teeth.... I think its because he loves his food and wanted to ensure maximum chewing ability was available to him..lol..... My daughter was well over 2 before she got all hers so it just shows how different they all are

My 15 month old son justs finished gettin all four molars. he started teething them one after another, like within a day. now he has 12 teeth.

yeh he got his first 6 teeth though in a matter of 5 wks when he was 7mths old. then another 2 at 12mths. and his 4 doubles at 14 mths.

I understand that my lil one also 15mos but she got her fronts and then four double teeth before she was 8mos old. Now she is getting her canines. She got all hers 2 at a time. She has a total of 12 now.

my son has all of his teeth including his two year molars. we have already seen the dentist and he was amazed at how fast he had gotten all of his teeth in.

Wow...My daughter born on 12-12, has only 6 teeth still. Haven't gotten any new ones since before her birthday. Guess they will come eventually.

Ah! I get it now. Among all the search results naming "double teeth" as a second row, is one page calling the molars "double teeth for chewing." I've never heard such terminology before now. Where does that come from?

My son got his first molars awhile back. When was it? I guess it was before his birthday!! He has his canines now too, and he is hopefully taking a break before working on the second molars.

I'm trying to understand what you mean by "double teeth." Permanent teeth that have erupted behind the baby teeth, resulting in two rows? Or two teeth actually fused together??

i though exactly the same as you that they didn't get them till they were older but my little girl who is also 15mths got hers through before her 1st birthday, i guess they're all different, she was also less grizzly with her double ones than with her others strange isn't it x
