I think my little one is ready for training pants (not a diaper but not quite underwear). We saw some at the EC store online and a few other sites. I was wondering if anyone uses these and has any feedback. They look really expensive. We're used to our economical prefolds so $15 for one pair seems a bit steep. If you have any information on training pants or where to get used training pants please let me know. Our son is 11mo, and ~24lbs.

Since then I have come up with an even easier training pant to make (although less cute), but with 2 little ones I am not finding time to write tutorials!  I will post here if I get it put together.

Wonderful site Sarah, thanks! I have a few more questions for you. Do you prefer waterproof or non waterproof pants. Do you use others besides the EcaPants? How many pair of training pants works for you and your little one?

Sometimes you can get EC gear from the EC swap list on Yahoo groups. (Called "ECSwap"). Also, craigs list or diaper swappers might be good places to try and find used.

I personally like the EcaPants (ecawarebaby.com) training pants. And she sells seconds as well as does lotteries, so you might be able to get some for a discount.
