Hi! My name is Jessica.

I have been difficulty when I print out digiscrapbook pages. They don't look right or the color is off. My husband and I have gone through every aspect what could it be. maybe it's the program? Or paper?

I discovered that my problem is my computer monitor. When I view my scrapbook pages on my parent's computer, the colors look exactly like they do when they are printed. But on my computer, everything is a lot lighter. So, since I am editing my photos to look good on my computer, the end result is sometimes not pleasant. What I do now is view all of my layouts on my parents computer before printing. Sometimes I have to tweak some pages a bit.

Also, if you are printing at home, it could just be your paper or your printer settings. I would recommend you get a test print done at your local 1-hr photo studio or something just to compare.

I just recently ordered a 12 x 12 photobook from Winkflash (they have a coupon through the end of 10/2008) and it came out beautifully. I have created 100's of pages, but this is the first time having them professionally printed and I'm very happy with the results. In the past I have done my own printing 8x8 on my home printer. I have found that sometimes the paper can be the problem with the color. I was using Kodak Cardstock for a while and the prints were great, but when I couldn't find it in the store anymore I switched to another brand all my prints looked muted. Try changing papers...I hear that the best results are gotten when your paper is the same brand as your printer. There are a number of discussions at www.digitalscrapbookplace.com with lots of good information about this subject. Good Luck!
