HEY EVERYONE, I REALLY LIKE THE IDEA ABOUT DIGITAL SCRAPBOOKIING. I WAS WONDERING IF THERE IS ANY FREE SOFTWARE OUT THERE. WHAT I WOULD LIKE TO DO IS BE ABLE TO BURN THE BOOK ON A DISK INSTEAD OF HAVING IT PRINTED OUT AS A BOOK. DOES ANY ONE IF THERE IS A PROGRAM OUT THERE LIKE THAT.

My favorite program is from Stampin Up. You buy the software, but you get an incredible amount with the software, 60 plus stamp sets, embellishments like brads, buttons, ribbon, punches, and all sorts of designer paper, as well as solid color paper. You can buy additional downloads for more papers, stamps, and so forth, but you can design all sizes and sorts of scrapbooks. I made a scrapbook for my family did a whole year, printed a copy for myself, then turn it into a slideshow and burned that onto a cd from my mom and my mother-in-law. I could have added music, or done it as a dvd that she could watch on tv. And I can also save each page and post that as an image, or put it in a digital picture frame if I wanted. So I don't have to print it out if I don't want to, but my kids like to read the book so that is just what I end up doing. There are just so many options for output with it though, more than I have ever found with any other program. I'll post a link so you can watch a video about the software. It is really cool! http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/scr...

My blog also has lots of scrapbooking pages, and cards I have done with it. http://scrapingandstamping.blogspot.com/..., or go to the home page and look under scrapbooking for more ideas. I love digitially scrapbooking since it does not leave a mess on the table to clean up. and I have an undo button!
Hope this helps, and have fun! Heather Pilz

Something you might enjoy if you like to share photo's from your computer and being able to send them in a real mailed for you, greeting card, with the holidays coming, you can do that easily and inexpensively, actually you can even earn income with it. Contact me and I can send you one to show you if you like.

Close to My Heart Studio J has just added the feature of getting the JPEG for the 2 page layouts you create. It's pretty easy to use and has options to make it even better like adding more embellishments, stickers, journaling ect....
Got to http://reker.myctmh.com/
click on the link for Studio J (No Cost to use until you order the JPEG or prints)

I know some programs will allow you save your completed book to a disk, but I think this is more for a backup than for sharing. I also agree that the best way to share your work is in an actual book. I use Creative Memories Storybook Plus - with this I can make different sizes, page prints, calendars, cards, or a completed book. There is also a free version that you can download from Creative Memories. This version is limiting, but it is a great way to see how the program works.

If you want more information on the program, I would be happy to help you out as well. Just send me a message.
Good Luck with your search

Scrapblog.com allows you to create and save them as jpg files. So you could burn them to CD if that is what you wanted to do.

I am not aware of any program that would allow you to burn it to a disc in a showable way. And why would you? Photographs and books are meant to be displayed and looked at.
As for digital scrapbooking programs, I use a web based program called HM Studio. Once your project is complete, you can have the books or scrap pages professionally printed. But there is also a feature where you can share the completed book online with your family and friends either on websites or in emails, etc.
If this sounds like something you would like to try, send me a message and I will give you the link.
