I have never done digital scrapbooking before. If anyone could help me get started I would greatly appreciate it! I really would like to get into doing it!

I use Creative Memories and am a consultant in CA. If you want to check out CM, click on the website for what our software can do! http://www.creativememories.com/
Then look for a digitally endorsed consultant in your area, by clicking on the right hand side on the pic of mother and daughter. Or you can email me and I can help you find one, my email address is on my website below.
Happy Scrapping!

Creative Memories is the BEST around if I do say so myself; a scrapbooking mom for 18 years and new consultant. Check out the website for a consultant near you!

I use photoshop to create digital scrapbook pages. For printing, you can upload to shutterfly and have your books printed there. There are a lot of sites that offer digital scrapbooking supplies. Many offer freebies too which is a great way to get started.
My daughter loves the graphics at MyGrafico so we use that a lot for our pages.

Have fun. Its addicting!

Hi Jess,
I am a digital scrapbooking consultant through Heritage Makers and I don't know what I would do without it! I started as a consultant just to get discounts on my own projects and friends and family all caught on and it has grown into a business I wasn't expected but now love!

There are many digital scrapbooking companies out there and all have their ups and downs of course. Here is a little bit of info about Heritage Makers.....
It is online - no program to buy or download on your computer. This came in handy when we did a family history book and all relatives were able to contribute no matter where they lived. There are thousands of templates that you can use that are gorgeous. You can open up a template - plunk your pictures in/change the text and be done. OR you can create your own project from scratch. There are over 60,000 items in the art collections...papers, embellishments (buttons, bows, flowers, characters, etc), letters, numbers, quotes, etc. If you use a template NOTHING is set in stone - you can still change absolutely everything in the book...the papers, the number of pics on a page, placement of pics, text boxes, etc. It is all drag and drop. I often start with a template and change it up as I need to for the project I am making. It just gives me a base to start from rather then starting from scratch as to be honest - there are so many art collections it is sometimes overwhelming starting from scratch. Also, HM has a hired design team - so why not use the nice templates that have been made? Another nice things is that it is your consultants JOB to assist you with your projects - so any questions you have or help that you need - that is what we are here for. There are also 'inspiration webinars' that you can either watch live or you can watch any of the archived recorded ones. They are themed online workshops showing project ideas, tips, tricks, etc.
If you go to youtube and type in Heritage Makers there are a bunch of videos on there that have been uploaded that can show you more about Heritage Makers.

If you would like to try it out you can go to my website www.capturefamilymoments.com and create an account. Heritage Makers uses a points system so you gain points in your account and put them towards your project. This is a way of saving money. Rather then buying your project at full price - you can purchase points and get bonus points (ex. $50 gets you 70 points - so you get 20 free points) You then can use those points towards any project. There are always monthly specials happening and you can earn free product by hosting a party - which doesn't actually have to be a 'party' in your home but word of mouth/online.
If you check out my other posts you will see another reply I had in regards to project ideas - rather then re-typing it all here. It might spark some ideas for the digital scrapbooking you want to do.
I have ran workshops with girl guides and my sons grade 1 class...they all made fabulous projects and had no problems using the program - and let me tell ya....those mothers day presents we made created a lot of tears!!
I can't say enough about how important it is to do something with our digital photos and not leave them on the computer - and...what kid doesn't LOVE to see themself in a REAL BOOK!
Have fun with your digital scrapbooking and if you want more info or help please feel free to email me - I LOVE what I do! capturefamilymoments@telus.net

Walmart and Walgreens have online scrapbooks that are pretty easy and simple to use. I just recently joined Mixbook.com, it's free. It's a little fancier books, still very easy to use. Cost is based on size and how many pages...just depends on how much work you want to put into them.
