I HAVE 2 BIOLOGICAL GRANDCHILDREN (GIRL 12; BOY 6); INHERITING 2 MORE BOYS WHEN MY SON GETS MARRIED AND ANTHER BIOLOGICAL IS DUE IN OCTOBER. THEY ARE ALL A DELIGHT, BUT, I AM RAISING THE 12 YEAR OLD GIRL AND 6 YEAR OLD BOY. I FEEL LIKE I'M OUT OF TOUCH WITH HOW BEST TO RAISE/DISCIPLINE, ETC., KIDS THESE DAYS AND WOULD LIKE HELPFUL FEEDBACK.

I am a grandmother of 5. I am raising a 23 month old granddaughter. They all live close by and visit most everyday. Paris 8, Roman 3, Emma-Claire 23 mos., Chloe 23 mos., Addisyn 4 days. I love them dearly and would have them all living with me if anyway possible.

My heartbeat has names. They are called my grandchildren.

I have six grandchildren. The oldest one is Lacey, who just turned
eight, Desiree is six, Hunter is five, Hayden is four, Ila Amber is eighteen months and my youngest granddaughter is fifteen months old. Her name is Rain, but most of the time I call her Rainbow. She is the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow and the rainbow itself.
All of them are our little rays of sunshine.

Are you a "new" grandmother? It is sometimes hard getting adjusted to a new family member. Do you live close to your grandchild? If not, it's even harder if your desire is to see them often. I actually am jealous of the attention my husband gives our grandchildren as he didn't show that kind of attention to our own children growing up. I hear that's normal though. He was busy providing for the family, working longer hours, etc.. and now he can step back and enjoy the grandkids. Have you come across that feeling yet

Not yet but I have 10 great neices and nephews. My sister-in-law is nice enough to share with me all the time. I had my youngest at 40 so I will have a lot of practice once I do have grandkids.
