My career is in photoshop, I'm a retoucher, and have a creative mind. Tons of my friends have had kids and lots more to come. I always find myself gathering pics of them and making a photo of a "future" looking baby compiling their features onto a child's face etc. Is this wrong, I felt too bad and nervous to make them a card with this on the front of it, I was worried they would say it was a ugly baby etc... what should I do? Who's features should I concentrate on? Or is an ordinary worded congrats card good enough? ARGH!

Quoting Heather:

an old discover article talked about how combined facial features were seen as more attractive when they were symmetrically balanced. sounds fantastic! you might want to get in contact with a hospital chaplain and see if you could use your talents to help grieving parents or sick kids. that may sound creepy but it is not. it would be a huge gift of comfort and something really cherished. as a shower gift i think it's still really cute too.

Good Idea, never thought of that! I love being able to brighten someone's day, and a hospital is a good place to start. Something touching and close to the heart. Thank you! The baby shower one is also working well. :) Thank you. CJ

I think that's a super cute idea! If you don't think the "baby" looks ugly or weird, I'm sure they won't either. It's just for fun anyway. As far as who's features to concentrate on, try one with more of mom and one with more of dad and pick which one you like best. Or put both on the card and say "this is what your child might look like" :)

Thank you so much. Glad to hear some people thinks it's a cute idea. I like the quote "This is what your child might look like" Thank you
