Hi there!
I am looking to purchase a small, point-and-shoot camera. I currently have a digital SLR but need something smaller I can pop in my purse/knapsack for family adventures! If you LOVE your camera, please let me know the details! I would also like it to be able to take videos. There is so much information on the internet I don't even know where to start! Thanks in advance for your help!

I just saw this, I know you've probably gotten something by now, but I thought I'd put in my two cents!
I LOVE the Canon P&S cameras. We're like you - we own several larger cameras, but need a little 'tuck in your pocket' camera for various things. We just bought a Canon A series one, and love it - you can read the blog post we did about the purchase here:

my husband mentions a comparison site he likes in that post, I don't remember it off the top of my head, but there's a link in the post. It lets you compare two cameras side by side which is handy! Good luck with your search!

Hello. I have a Sony 7.2 megapixel Cybershot camera (in pink!). I love it. I would like a sigital SLR to take more enhanced photos. But my camera takes great pictures as well and has some pretty good features. I got mine about 3 years ago for $150 so its probably cheaper now or probably has a more updated one. It has video, Programable mode, "easy" mode, twilight, smile dedection (only takes picture when someone smiles), low light w tripod, landscape, soft background, and iso...those are all the features on the dial...then of course there are more once you go into the menu (black and white, vivid color, normal and sepia), anti-shake, child focus.. just to name a few. Hope this helps!!! Also...what kind of dSLR do you have?! I have looked into the Nikon 3000, Pentak k-x...etc

i have a kodak easy chare C633. its light weight fits in my bag and takes video. it comes with its own printer too. i love printing my own pictures. like any camera you can take out the memory card and upload your pics/videos onto the computer and do what you like with them. you could always look at some of the mobile/cell phones that are out now they have great cameras on them. that way you get 2 for one and more room in your bag for the wet wipes for sticky fingers.
