Do people give you the pity look just because of your disability. Maybe because you're in a wheelchair? Or do they ignore you? My disability is I call it invisible. Because people cant see it. I look normal, what ever that is, but I act a little odd. Say things that are not appropriate. So I don't know what it is like for those who use wheelchairs or walkers. Please share with me and others if you don't mind. Thank you in advance.

Pity, yah ... got that all the time while in a chair and often while on crutches.
I had a young family member ask what it was like to be in a wheelchair, so I got him a kids sized one and took him around town. He said he wanted to punch people for looking at him like that, other then that, it was fun.
Another friend, very attractive woman, asked the same question and I got her a chair too. Now, this women is use to turning heads. Men and women both look at her as she passes.
They didn't that day, and it left her with some deep thoughts ....
I think that is one of the handicaps of the disability, ya know?
The chair I never minded, stairs were a pain. The crutches don't bother me, the rude questions and pity looks do ....
