my son Christopher had a doc band for 3 months at age 6m. He is now is almost 4 years old and has a beautiful head. good luck!

My daughter wore a DOC band for 4 months. We painted it pink with Hello Kitty. She now has a beautiful shaped head for her brain to grow in!!

My son had his helmet for about four months (he actually needed two of them because he grew so quickly). When you clean it everyday be careful to let it dry completely before putting it back on. I was in a hurry one day and after cleaning it I only let it dry a few minutes and the alcohol left a chemical burn on his head...what a way to feel like a terrible mom!!! I took him to the doctor because at first I didn't know what it was and he just told me to make sure I let it dry completely!!! Good luck with everything!

you will have it a good time of year not too hot. My son had his all summer . Just keep it clean-wipe it down with alcohol every day as suggested. Take a lot of pix so you can show him when he gets bigger. The time goes fast and it is so worth it. It didn't seem to bother anyone in our house. I did get a lot of rude comments and questions from people I didn't know.Good luck.

Thank you. My son is 5 1/2 months and we just got the casting done on Wednesday. We will be picking the band up in a week.
