So my four old had a DOC band when he was an infant. I have noticed myself staring now at other DOC band babies ONLY for the fact I know what the moms are going through and some have had very cool paint jobs! I don't know if it's rude to approach the mom to say "we've been there" or just stay silent?! I would hate for someone to think I'm looking like "what's wrong with that baby" because it was surely done to us and I know how that feels. What do you think?! I've seen them around more often than we had ours done, maybe it's now a normal thing?

i appreciate when people comment on the band rather than just stare at it, i think they are more common now and people are starting to be more familiar with them. My daughter has had hers for about two months now and has one more month to go, we have been noticing them more and more and it is nice to know that we are not alone.

my daughter had one as well and it was so encouraging to hear from other parents positive stories. One lady had approached me while her son ( a former doc band baby)was standing there with her. She said she loved the way the DOC band was painted. That made me feel so good because being in the grocery store that was the only person who smiled at my daughter in her DOC band. If you feel like talking to them and encouraging them it would be great. It sure helped my family!
