have not felt a kick and im 29 weeks?

im 29 weeks pregnant with my first baby thats a little boy, im getting concerned at the fact that i have not felt my little boy kick yet and all my friends that are currently pregnant felt there babies kick from 20 weeks.
i get a little flutter at night but apart from that nothing iv been to the hospital and they have been keeping an eye on me but say that he is fine and he is moving alot and that they think maybe my little boy is just small,
has anyone else had this problem if so should i be worried or not this is my 1st and i never thought id be able to have natural baby due to previous problems please help?

yea i get regular scans my next one is 36 week scan that is tomorrow he seems ok tho just abit small xx

Wow, Shanna, could our pregnancies be any more similar? I had the same concern with this little one. I was sent in for an ultrasound at 28 wks because my 20 wk one was blurry and I hadn't felt any movement at all. It was during that one that we found out that the baby is super active, but where thier feet are is at the thickest part of my placenta.
After watching the ultrasound I was kinda happy that I wasn't feeling all that activity. If you are still worrying, ask if you can watch while they do the next check. I know that it really helped me get through it, and now I feel a lot of movement which is amazing. I know it will turn out alright for you :)

I'm with Samantha, I really didn't feel anything for the longest time. Or at least anything recognizable. Turns out the gas I thought I was feeling was more like bubbles in a fish tank fluttering across the front of my belly, was actually her moving around. She can definately pack a punch....am thinking a field goal kicker as a back up career! Mostly what I feel are more like rolls, every once in a while I'll see a knee. I love the feeling but especially seeing her move is such a trip. I wouldn't worry. If the doctor has done stress tests, while you're laying there, you actually feel more than you think.

I didn't feel my first kick until 30 weeks with my 1st baby. With my second i felt it at 12 weeks. I wouldn't compare your self to other Moms to be it will stress you out and you don't need that.

You are feeling something so that is good. I'm having a boy to and I call him my lazy baby because he only moves if he has to.. My daughter was very active and still is now. Every pregnancy and every baby is different! so if your Doctor and hospital are happy then I would try not to worry.

As long as the doctors say everything is fine, then you shouldn't worry too much. I know that kicking is one of the greatest things about pregnancy--so I researched ways to help things along (I didn't know if what I was feeling was him moving)

Orange juice! Drink a glass of orange juice and lay on your back with a pillow under your hips. Don't do this for too long because it can be a problem with your uterus squishing everything, but it should help!

Also--eat a candy bar and lay down on your right side. Put your hand on your belly right above your belly button and push gently with your fingers.

I wouldnt worry too much since you have been monitored and they say he is moving and fine. Personally my son moves a lot more at night especially if I drink something cold and then lay down. Good Luck!
