My daughter will be 5 months on September 12th, I've been giving her stage 1 foods for quite some time now. So far she has had single-grain rice cereal, bananas, sweet potatoes, & avocado. I will be trying her with pears tomorrow for breakfast. I was also wondering what other foods I could be giving her. I have the baby bullet, so I can make just about anything. Also, she loves eating and takes the food very well, can I be trying her with other cereals? Do they have to be single grain still? Could i do oatmeal or something? If doing oatmeal, do they have a special baby kind, or would I need to "puree" it finer? I also would like to know what everyone thinks about her eating schedule; it's all new to me so I'm curious.
About 9am when she wakes up - 6oz bottle
About 10:30-11:00am - 4oz bottle & 2 tablespoons of rice cereal mixed with 2 tablespoons of some kind of fruit.
About 1:30-2:00pm - 4oz bottle
About 6:00pm - 4oz bottle
About 7:30-8:00pm - 4oz bottle & 2 tablespoons of rice cereal mixed with 2 tablespoons of some kind of veggie.
About 10:00pm - 4oz bottle
after the 10:00pm bottle she is usually asleep for the night, she may wake up for one more 4oz bottle, but quickly returns to sleep. I feel like I'm doing pretty good, but I dont know if I am introducing too much food (servings wise) too quickly. Should i still only be feeding her one time a day until she is 6 months? when should i up the feedings to 3 times a day? also, when does the other foods come into play? is that stage 2 with all the broths and stuff? and are there any veggies or fruits (besides citrus ones) that are off limits for a while seeing as she's only 5 months? Thanks in advance to anyone who posts! Hope everyone is doing well!
