Heya all...just letting you know that my little girl has arrived 10 days early and was born on the 15th April,2011. After trying to have a natural birth and not coping with the pain, I insisted on a c-section (had one previously with my son) and it was a good thing I did - according to my surgeon, the c-section scar on my uterus was pretty close to rupturing (she could see the baby's head THROUGH the scar!). So, all is good and after 5 days in hospital we are now home. She was 3.480kg and 47cm long (or 7 lb 10.75 oz 18.5 inch)

Hi All,

I am glad to hear that you are feeling better Leah. And hope that you get to meet your new baby soon. Danielle, I hope that your little boy has made is entrance into the world now :)

I just wanted to let you all know that I gave birth to my beautiful daughter yesterday morning at 8:25 AM. She was 8 lbs 10 oz and 21.5 inches.

I will keep you updated! I go back in tomorrow for another NST and I see my dr right after. I'm kinda hoping I have to be induced.I hope you are feeling better Leah.! Thats aweful that you hadtyo go in with a fever! =/
@Stevie Welcome to circle of moms! =] My original due date was 4/20 but when they did my ultrasound they moved up my due date aweek so now im due on thursday but I dont think my little nugget is going to come when he is supposed to lol

Hi, this is officially my first post on this website! I am 39 weeks on Wednesday, and READY beyond belief to give birth to my baby boy!!! I was one centimeter dilated last Thursday at my doctor appointment and have another appointment tomorrow so I'm hoping I'm more dilated. :) Nice to read that I'm not the only one out there DYING to be done!! I'm due 4/20.

38 weeks today and no sign of my little one...thought she was coming last Friday morning as I had pretty regular contractions from about 1.30am (sydney aus time) till about 8am when everything stopped :( Am now more pregnant than when I had my son (he was born @ 37 weeks exactly - 12.34am in the morning actually...lol) Am sssssssssooooooooo over this...just want her out!

Wow Leah, I hope that everything is ok. I couldn't imagine what that must have been like. I went to L&D last night with contractions, but they weren't strong enough for them to keep me. I am still waiting for them to get worse in order to go back in, I would love to have this baby by the end of the weekend. Good Luck Mommas :)

Danielle keep us updated! I went to L&D last night because I had a fever of 100.1, turns out my thermometer was off and it was really 101.5--they were really really worried because my little mans heartbeat was up to 213, but after tons of fluids and antibiotics it went down to 146. Means I get to wait another week for this little guy to get here....

Congrats Colleen and good luck Natasha! I had my membranes strippped last tuesday and it didnt work for me =/ I hope you have better luck! I may have to be induced Tuesday Because I have to much fluid in my belly.I went for an NST today and They werent very happy with the results, but it wasnt bad enough to where they had to induce me today. I go get another NST done on tuesday then see my dr right after so we will see.! Good luck to all you ladies and again Congrats Colleen! =]

Congratulations Colleen. I hope that you had a wonerful delivery.

I saw the dr today, and am 2 cms, effaced, shortened and he could feel the baby's head. Stripped my membrane, and said that hopefully this means by the end of the weekend we will have a baby :) and finally be able to stop calling it an "It".

Nothing here, not even any talks of induction. I'm getting really discouraged :(

My mom has bet me a case of soda that he gets here Sunday, my husband thinks he'll get here in 6 days (his moms birthday) so we'll see.

Still waiting here Danielle. I am 39 wks and 4 days. Officially more pregnant now then I have ever been, my son was born at 39wks exactly. My dr told me that this little bundle is going to be between 8.5 and 9 lbs. I am hoping that they come by the end of the weekend, but who knows.

39 weeks today! and still no baby! im still 2cm dilated and still 70% thinned out. i had my membranes stripped tuesday in hopes that it would start labor but nothing. my little guy just does not want to come out! i had an ultrasound today and he estimated to be 7lbs 9oz i still have a week till my due date and im scheduled to be induced the 18th so he has some time to grow still! any luck for you ladies?

No baby here yet either, I've taken to walking until my sciatic nerve makes it nearly impossible! Also went out and bought a yoga ball to bounce on, have been doing squats more and more, walking up the stairs two at a time, and I think I've had one uncomfortable contraction this whole time.

My little peanut is stubborn like his mommy..So I bet i've got 2 weeks left!

no baby yet i was up till 6 am the other night with contractions =P i realy thought i was going to have my little guy but they never got close enough together and eventually stopped and i went to sleep then i had them off and on when i woke up.... i go to the dr. tuesday we will see if there are any changes!! good luck ladiesss!!!

I was having contractions off an on for 4 days before I gave birth to my son. They were so painful I tried pineapple, sex and rockband. My contractions were 5 minutes apart when I arrived at the hospital. I was only 3 cm dialated but that was the same problem I had with my eldest. My doctor decided it was time for the c-section and I had him that day. I hope you all can remain comfortable til the end of your pregnancy and have healthy babies when they are ready. :D

Oh I know, my son measured a week larger than he was "supposed" to. I am just really impatient, and figure if s/he is already measuring that big then I don't really want to wait another 2 full weeks for them to keep growing.

Well, I went to my dr's appt yesterday and this baby is measuring at 40 wks. Too bad I am only 37 and 6. Here' hoping that means that s/he wants to come out early. Really have my heart set on Wednesday next week, since I have plans on Tuesday, which means knowing my luck they should make an apperance about an hour or two before I have to be at my show :). Can't wait to hear when all your little ones arrive.

Welp guys, still no baby. Though I have started "nesting" like crazy! I swear I didn't even clean this much when we were moving from base housing and being inspected!!! Hubby doesn't mind though, I always seem to get those dishes done before him :P

Good News Everyone!! I am 1 1/2 cm dilated, and "very thin and very soft" according to my doctor. She was all "not to get your hopes up, but first time moms usually don't progress from nothing to almost 2 centimeters in less than two weeks unless things are moving along smoothly." She said she's guessing it'll be within two weeks, and that of course it's just a guess and not to hold her to it lol. Trying not to get my hopes up :P

i called the on call ob at my old hospital and she says theres nothing to worry about b/c they are intermitten plus i see new my ob thurs.

i been getting sharp pains in my lower back also with sharp pains in my belly and down there and pessure down there amd sometimes alot pressure down there along with really bad cramping down there is any of that consider con traction or is it just b/c of gas?

Just got back from the OB said I need to rest more...not impressed and that I need to do a blood test for high blood pressure when the nurse in the office said it was normal today usually my BP is very low

Haha I was listening to 'oldies' on my computer and dancing around my house like a maniac last time I had contractions, I should start that up again. Also been eating fresh raspberries with corn chex (Mmmm corn chex♥) I was given a good website of "pre-labor" symptoms and I've been experiencing some of them, so hopefully I'll have something to update when I get back from the doctor today :D

Lots of OBs don't do a pelvic until the last week. Less chance of introducing bacteria. And really the baby isn't due yet so what will it tell you anyway? As someone else already said, beginning to dilate and efface doesn't mean labour is imminent. Could still be days or weeks.

With my first son my OB did a pelvic the last appointment before I was due and there was NO indication of impending labour. I went into labour that night and had my son the next day. He wanted to book an induction for the next week and I didn't like that idea, so I went shopping...all day...and walked and walked, I also took a long drive (the car seat was very uncomfortable! lol), that did the trick or I would have resorted to sex and raspberry leaf tea!

If I go any longer than three weeks without dialating any further ill probably get induced cause ill be hitting past my due date im really hoping i go into labor before that lol im goign to keep doing all the little tricks in the book old wives tales or not lol I definitely want this baby outta here as do my ribs lol

Danielle, I don't want to throw cold water on you, but I was 3 cm dialated with my son fr 3 weeks and then 4 for a whole other one before I had my son. I truly hope this isn't the case with you, but just wanted to let you know that you might still be in for a wait.

I'm 36 weeks and 5 days.This weekend I did alot of the suggested things on here like eating pineapples and having sex( i havent had much problems doing that try laying on your side with him behind you) and i play the just dance2 game for the wii, ive also been walking.!It has obviously helped cause i went to the dr yesterday afternooon and im already 2cm dialated and 70% thinned out!!!1 Just keep trying ladies something has been working for me! I hope something helps you ladies too i know how it is to be soo close yet so far away!!! lol

I'm 36 weeks on Monday and I am sooooooooo over this pregnancy!!!! Discovered the other night that sex is definately an awkward business...if I wasn't comfortable I got worn out real easy...lol...getting lots of braxtons but nothing substantial yet...5 weeks to go officially...this is soooooo going to drag on!

Hoo-buddy I had my hopes up today, not even joking. I felt an actual "contraction". My back started having shooting pains and it radiated over to my belly. I was like "YES!!!!!!" but then it stopped and I haven't felt one in a few hours... Started after I got my preggo butt dancing around my house to Dirty Dancing music so... :D

Get the already pealed and cored pineapple because they're diffucult and very juicy and you could hurt yourself doing it. and they can't be on the shelf already pealed and cut in the fresh fruit section for more than 2 days

my feet are really swollen too and my hormones are crazy im slso kinda ready for this to be over with too and im not sure wat to try b/c i cant walk to much b/c it wears me out to easy and pineapples would be to acidic and to sweet for me b/c alot..... of sugar causes my ceizures and im not sure if the sex thing is gonna work and i dont eat really spicy foods

I totally agree. I am 36 + 4 right now. Makingmy husband take me to the city on Saturday so I can go walking around West Edmonton Mall for a few hours. I did the same thing with my son and went into labor the next day :). Here's hoping that iron strikes twice :)
