I think my 4 month old is teething. I can see her gums are swollen and shes been rather cranky lately. The one thing I did notice is she has a loss of appetite, which is unheard of for her. I usually can never get the bottle in her mouth fast enough. She isnt really looking to eat and when I feed her shes not really finishing her bottles. I want to know if anyone else had this problem.

When my kids were teething they also lost their appetites. They just don't feel well. Their gums hurt and itch, and they can even develop a bit of a fever. Baby Orajel is a good idea and so are all the various teething rings that you can chill in the fridge.

I was thinking my daughter might be teething as well. but instead of not wanting to eat...it seems like that's all she wants to do. maybe not necessarily to eat, but using me as a pacifier. I was slightly thrilled when she started going more than an hour between feedings, but for the past few days, that's all she wants. Sorry I'm not much help, but it's always fun talking baby!

I had a similar problem with my son when he started teething, he is 2 now. I would say just watch him, when my son went through this when he finally got hungry he would let you know. If it doesn't get better call your doctor. Also try some frozen teethers and maybe some baby oral gel. Hope this helps a little
