My son eats pretty much anything we eat now and he's only got 4 teeth. We just cut stuff up really small and make sure it's something he'll be able to gum before he swallows it.

My daughter started eating baby food when she was 3 months old and she started eating table food about 7 months and by 9 was eating mostly table food but she has 8 teeth now, I would try alittle bit now and cut them up into tiny peices. when my daughter had only two teeth she would feel the food with her teeth and kind of chew it, just see how she takes it at first.

Those are all awesome starts! My daughter won't eat the wagon wheels. Anyway, just remember, if she shows interest in what you are eating, let her try. Babies have the best gag reflex, and will usually get it back up. If they don't, pats to the back usually will help.

I have given her grilled cheese, pancakes, yogurt bites and puffs. Also I break up the wagon wheels in to small pieces and she eats that. thank you for all the advice. I am liking this circle of moms alot!

My daughter was on table foods at 9 months. We started with the baby food at about 3 months, and she started wanting what we were eating at 6 months, then refused the baby food at 9 months. Now she eats just about everything and only has 2 teeth. She loves to feed herself.

Basically your child will tell you when they are ready. Every baby is different. It may come a day when they suddenly won't eat the baby food anymore. Try giving baby the yogurt bites (They disolve in their mouth) or cheerios...

I have tried the 3rd baby food with pasta and she threw up. Also green beans cut up...she

thought she could just swallow them so she threw up. have given her applesauce, yogurt, pancakes. I want to be careful because sometime she gets really constipated.

kids don't need teeth to eat table food, they use their gums and tongue. My kids both got their first teeth early and then took a year to get any more. Table foods were probably around 7 or 8 months- maybe a month or two after introducing 'solids'? We started by giving chunkier baby foods, and then just moved on to self feeding (or playing, hahaha) Cheerios, cooked sweet potatoes, crackers, bananas, etc. We gave them increasingly 'difficult' foods and watched them carefully, and they eat everything. Start slow, with chunks of soft foods and steamed veggies, then move on to cut up grapes and pastas and beans, etc. And don't be afraid if your kiddo chokes a little- it will happen eventually, if it's at a year or at five years. Most times it's because they shovel too much food into their mouths, lol, just be prepared.

You can start by offering mashed potatoes. My daughter was eating table foods by 6-7 months. As long as it is mashed or finely chopped/diced. Make sure you are right there watching her in case she starts choking.
