41 weeks pregnant, anyone else over?

Only thing I can say is that induction really isn't that bad only 1 of my 6 kids actually broke the water and even then labor didn't progress so they induced using pitocin. Best luck to you =)

Oh my gosh that's awful! I would not even know what to do in that situation. I would be yelling at the entire hospital until somebody explained! Good luck!

I was supposed to be induced yesterday but we got to the hospital when they said and were told my name had been crossed off the list as delivered and there weren't enough beds to just fit me in!! Well, if only giving birth was so simple that it can happen without you even realising!! Anyway, obviously i burst into tears, i'm soooo uncomfortable and have been through so much with this pregnancy that i was all the negativity to be over and be able to start a positive era with my new son!
Well, i am typing this just before leaving for the hospital again. They told me to get there first thing this morning to be induced. I'm just wondering what excuse they can come up with now!! I'm so angry, i was originally due on 19th and worry about the placenta not functioning as well as it should now :0(
Hopefully next time i post it will be as a Mummy to two beautiful boys instead of just the one.

I was induced a week earlier and it was painful! I even had an epidural, but it didn't work!! I hope you can have a natural birth!! Good luck!

Thanks! Still no baby. I've tried pretty much everything but castor oil. I don't want to be induced, I'm going for as natural of a birth as I possibly can.
And for some strange reason I will feel like a failure he doesn't come on his own. I still have 4 days to see if he comes naturally.

Wish I had the cure, Augut babies seem to be stubborn! I tried pedicures, garam masala (spice) blue cohosh, black cohosh, raspberry tea, sex, excercise ball, walking, I think if you can get in a jacuzzi that speeds up the dilating for what ever reason. Good luck!

I was due on 19th and i'm still waiting. I am being induced on Thursday 2nd Sept but only after really fighting with my midwife. My husband is self employed so doesn't get paternity leave. He had to book time off for baby - nobody expected us to still be waiting. He has already had to take an extra week off to help me look after our 21 month old as i've got more immobile but he can't afford anymore time off. He has to go back to work on Monday and i have been trying to explain to the midwife that i will have no support once he goes back to work and i will need to be able to get used to having both boys before i'm left on my own.
Anyway, I'm booked in to be induced on thursday finally. I was induced with my first and really wanted to be able to do it naturally this time but i guess my body is just an epic fail and doesn't want to give up baby.

i was due 26th.
fed up of waitin. i got midwife 2moz, so gotta wait and see how it goes. she said she'll probaly book me in to be induced. but 2week after my due date is 9th sept and my boyfriend got his drivin test on that day :S so hopefully can get her to book me in earlyer.
got induced with my first so not worried, just fed up of waitin and want to met my little man. plus first was 2week early cos he wasnt growin fast enough so seems i bin preggy forever lol

Im 40 weeks and 5 days , still no baby yet lol . Im really anxious for this to be over but i was induced with my first child and almost had a c-section because i wasnt dilating fast enough then the last hour of labor i finally hit 10 cm and the contractions were very powerful to the point where no pain meds were working not even the epidural so no i really dont want to be induced , if he wants to cook for another week or so then so be it , even thou i really want to meet him , its good to know i dont have months left just a matter of days .

Being in labor puts you at risk for alot of things because the doctors dont know how you and the baby will react to the stress of labor. I hope your baby comes soon!!

It seems like a lot of doctors are doing that now, but supposedly it's perfectly normal to go a couple weeks past your due date as long as everything is functioning right. I want him to come, but on his own terms. You are more likely to have a c-section when you get induced, and labor is supposed to be harder. I'm trying to go natural, so I don't want any of that! Good luck though!

I was due Aug 26th and am still pregnant but my doctor scheduled me for an induction on Monday because I'm still not dilated and she doesn't want my placenta to stop providing him with nutrients. I don't have a problem with getting innduced.
