my daughter was born on 27/8/2010 she crawls backwards eats 3 solid meals a day,has two teeth,she babbles a lot but i noticed she can say mama,its funny how she likes pulling her aunts hair all the time, lol.when she sits up on her own she's all messy coz she likes throwing everything on the ground, banging and tearing things apart.

My son juz turned 7 mths, he.was born 5wks early weighed 6lbs 6oz and now weighs 21lbs and is 27 in long. He doesnt crawl yet but pushes himself with his arms and legs.doesnt sit up alone but can sit for awhile once we assist him. He enjoys more on his back he moves a lot upwards wen on his back turns in a whole 360 on his back. He flips over both ways. He first,word was papa and now says dada.he can babble for a long time especially if ur talkin to him back. He laughs smiles and reaches for everything, loves to,pull hair. He holds,his own bottle and toys. He eats some table foods but majority of da time he eats the baby food jars the big ones size 3 he eats 2 in the morning, noon and night every now and then he'll drink a bottle his bed time is at 9 and all I do is lay him down give him his pacifer and cover him with his blanket and hes out for the night and doesnt wake up,till 7am I give his 6oz bottle and he goes right back to,sleep till 9am. Every child is different and will be ready on their own time..he even stands alone wit assists for a long time and when holding him standing he takes steps.

My daughter born 8/12/10 and she crawls since 4 months since sits up since 5 standing up by herself since 6 months now she's 7 months and starting to walk by herself. She is copying right after my 1st daughter my 1 daughter was 8 months old walking by herself

my daughter was born aug. 6, 2010. she can sit up by herself, and can role from her front to her back. she can turn herself while on her stomach, but she cant crawl. no teeth or speaking yet. she likes drinking from my water glass though. its pretty funny cuz she tries to drink it like a dog or a cat would. shes been laughing at random things recently, and she smiles a lot. she babbles...ill respond to her like i understand her, and we can have a whole "conversation" while i give her breakfast. its hysterical.

Laynie was born August 27th. She's now sitting up, making noises, only says lala, smiles, scoots (no crawling yet), grabs toys, and one tooth.

to all the moms worried that their baby is behind DONT BE! all babies do things at different times, my son is just starting to sit by himself, not crawling or talking other than babbling can roll around but chooses not to most of the time lol no teeth either! its not a competition, dont stress they will get there eventually xox you doing a great job regardless

For those who are worried that their baby is behind, there are websites that send u milestone update for your child, like pampers.com or babycenter.com. And every baby is diff, and takes his own time to get there. But if you find out that your baby is really behind, there is early intervention therapy, which in ny is free. And worked wonders on my first son who was a little behind.

My daughter was born August 4,2010 and she's moving fast she can crawl,sit up,holds her bottle,and even take steps if you hold her hand. The only thing she won't do is sleep all night she have never slept through a night.

my son was born august 30th, he cant sit, he cant crawl, he cant hold his own bottle, he has no teeth coming in, and he just started rolling over recently. according to wic he is in 0 percentile for his weight - he is 13lbs 4 ozs and 2 percentile for his hwight. he is 22 inches

i honestly dont know, where i live we have this thing we get every month its like a news letter that gets delivered to everyones house, and thats were i found my playgroup, but u could check online or even in the newspaper that might help

I'd love to find a playgroup to take my LO to. How would I go about finding one of those. I'm not working still and I'd love for her to interact with other babies and also for me to get out and have some time with other adults

my son was born aug 28 and all he can do is grab at things, roll over both directions, laugh, smile andstand unassisted, but other than that, he does sit by himself or talk, the only words he knows are mama, dada, and nanna, he has no teeth, and eats pablum, and some vegis, thats about it, so u should feel lucky ur LO can do as much as they can my LO is farther behind most babys at his age from our playgroup

my daughter was born aug 24th !!! she rolls all over the floor and doesnt hesitate to grab everything in sight lol. she just started sitting up unassisted.... but honestly she has no interest in sitting up shed rather lay down and roll lol. she has no teeth yet .. but my son who is 5 didnt get any til 8 months so im not worried. she is a LOUD babbler. she says dada all day long along with some shrieking and screeching. she loves her big brother .. he seems to be her favorite person !!!!!! he can always make her laugh those big belly laughs !

I worry that my daughter is behind. She was born August 31st 2010 and is just over 6 months old. She is 75th percentile for weight and 95th percentile for height (tall baby, she fits in 9month onesies and some 12month clothing). She rolls around and plays with her toys in her crib. She can't sit unassisted yet but she tries to sit up when i'm feeding her a bottle. She isn't crawling, she kicks her legs alot and puts one leg out to the side flattens her foot and pushes herself around in circles. She is learning to eat from a spoon but isn't eating enough to replace a meal. We do feed her cereal in her bottle (which I know dr's say not to do but to each his own with their chilld). She has begun drinking less formula during the day which worries me (has been on soy since she was less than a month. She had been having the little rabbit poops or one hard ball of poop two times a day but we finally started giving her applejuice diluted with water today and it seemed to help her poop better. She is not saying any words yet but babbles and giggles and makes different noises with her lips and sticks her tongue out alot and raspberries. She reaches for things and grabs her bottle to pull it to her mouth when she's really hungry but does not hold the bottle herself. Should I worry at all that she is not progressing fast enough?

My son, even when he eats enough solids to replace a meal, he will want to breastfeed a little afterwards. I think it is more of a comfort thing for him though. He crawled forward today! It was so exciting, I feel badly when he gets so frustrated, but with his backwards crawling, he has learned u turns, lol. He loves when his 2 year old sister plays peeka boo with him. My son was also born Aug 10, 2010. He's sitting up nicely, not crawling or babbling yet, mostly nursing and eating baby food once a day. He's really good with his 3 yrs old bro, laughing at him all the time and he's always smiling.

My daughter was born august 31. She can sit for long periods of time but usually ends up falling over so I still have to be with her. She isn't crawling yet but can get up off her tummy all the way to her knees for a few seconds at a time. She is eating 3 meals a day but no signs of any teeth yet. Her favorite word is daddy but we are working on mommy lol. She loves imitating her big brother and loves to try to feed herself when he's eating to.

My daughter was born on 17. August...She has 1 tooth, can not sit up, doesn't crawl, but can flip over...she wants to try solids, but never eats enough (to replace a meal)...

I think every baby is unique...

I feel that my child is behind everyone else. He can't crawl and can't sit up without help. Hes really chunky and just rolls all over the place. It's like a rollie pollie lol. But he's healthy.

my daughter born august 23rd 2010 can army crawl with her bum in the air hasnt got the arms yet she laughs she says nana baba and dada she can sit by herself she doesnt have teeth yetshe smiles she eats lots of solids she is also the same size as a 4 month old baby she is a very happy baby she loves being outside and the dogs

My daughter was born August 16. 5 weeks early but staying on top of all her developmental milestones: sitting up, not crawling yet but spinning around and scooching on her belly, eating 3 solid meals a day, no teeth but definitely imminent, grabbing at things, interacting with lots of smiles, laughs, coos, and screeches.

My daughter was born august 01,2010 can sit up by herself is almost crawling she doesn't have the arms quite down yet she gets on all fours flops on her belly scoots forward that gets on all fours again, she doesn't have any teeth but has been teething since about 2 months, laughs, smiles a lot, kicks her feet around when she's excited doesn't say any words like mama or dada but screams and babble a lot and she likes to pull on the dog's hair. lol!

My son was born on August 10, 2010. He can crawl but backwards also LOL, he babbles a lot and can say "mama". He can hold his bottle himself, He has 3 teeth and likes to pull his older sister's hair :s, (haha) but they love each other.
