When i got my ultrasound, they told me my babies estimated weight is 2 lbs and 4 oz. They said it was good but i read alot of you guys have 3lb babies. Is it ok or is my baby under weight?

your baby is fine :) ultrasounds can only estimate the weight, its not an actual definite number.. sounds like a pretty average weight to me.. if it were a concern the doc would talk to you about it.. if you are worried, talk to the doc yourself so they can put you at ease.. ask all the questions you want to. it's their job to answer them for you so that you can be as prepared and comfortable with your pregnancy as possible.

actually that sounds about right especially based on all the reading i've done over the years.

I am 28 weeks and four days and my baby is 2lbs. They say thats normal. Babies gain their last bit of weight the last few months and they all do it differently. As long as its progressing from your last ultrasound at a good pace you are fine, is what my doctor told me when I asked him the same question.

Like noelle said i really wouldnt listen to what U/S weights say. I was told at 35 weeks my daughter was weighing 5lb 14oz, she was born two days later weighing 4lb 15oz! 2lb 4 does sound about right for nearly 30 weeks but like i say dont take too much notice! x

you absolutely cannot take what the ultrasounds says to heart!! They are wrong way more than they are right!! With my son I was induced a week early because on 2 different ultrasounds they measured him to be almost 10 lbs at 38 weeks. When he was born at 39 weeks he was a very average 7lbs 12 oz!! Im sure your little one is just fine!!
