my son is still adamant about eating all his food pureed. at around 9 months we got him to start eating more adult foods like noodles, sandwiches and such. now he's gone back to straight baby food. if anything has a texture to it he'll only eat a few bites and be done or immediately just spit it out because he doesn't want to chew. he's now not even interested in cheerios or puffs, and he used to love those. he only has 4 teeth, so is he just super lazy or is this normal?

i guess you just have to keep trying. Food is not an easy thing but Sheri you should try more healthy options. Jello is full of food colouring and sugar, canned food has perservatives not the best options. I have been trying salmon, hamburger, cheese, and pureeing food but just not as much. good luck parents!!!!!!!!

My 11 mos. Old son doesn't like baby food at all! He likes tasty but soft food! Even if I put something on the pureed food to become tasty, still gates it and gag! So, sometimes I made homemade soups with chicken breast in it with some vegetables he likes like green beens, potato, carrots, any veggies I have! I am a filipina and always have rice, he likes it with soups and soft meat and veggies! Every baby is different, there are some food also that I noticed that he got some reactions, so I have to be careful not give him that certain food! You just have to experiment whatever food u have as long as he can chew and swallow it! If he doesn't like it, baby will spit it out! If he is done or doesnt like it, he won't open his mouth! Just give him what your baby enjoys eating!

My daughter just turned 11 months on the 7th. She LOVES "people food"! She really isn't into the baby food anymore unless it was one of her favorites. She eats chicken and stars soup from camble's so maybe try that. She's had spaghetti o's already too. she only has 2 bottom teeth fully in and 2 top teeth just about fully in. jello's good for them too cuz it disolves. just be patient and your baby will love "people food" too! i've also gotten the crawler stage pick up's i think they're called. so far i've only found apples and carrots and even those are very hard to find! your babies might not like the taste of the stage 3, it's actually pretty gross! so try some soups maybe, rice, mashed potatoes, scrambled eggs, pancakes, and french fries! my girl gets so excited when we go out to eat cause she wants it all! it just takes time. when they're ready, they're ready! good luck!

We are in a similar boat. My almost 11 mo old will not eat solids. He literally gags if I try to give him noodles or any meats. He is getting better about cheerios & puffs, but is really not interested in them. Not sure what we are going to do... Sorry I am not of more help, but at least your not alone.

I'm wondering the same. My 10mth old daughter has two bottom teeth in and 4 top teeth in (just not fully in). She still eats stage 2 baby foods and some stage 3 chunky baby food (some of the chunky stage 3 she just gags and spits it out almost like she doesn't like it) but she eats her yogurt melts and baby puffs and animal crackers and toddler cereal bars. She's learning to chew alright with her front teeth with certain things. Should I try some more things she can pick up on her own and eat (like toddler foods, ie: the gerber graduates n such)??
