Potty Training

Hi Everyone! My daughter showed signs of being ready for potty training at 19 months. We started training her and she did excellent...I thought it was too good to be true! And I guess it was, because now at 21 months, potty training has come to a complete stop. I've heard that this is normal, especially for kids who want to potty train early. So I was wondering if any of you are potty training your August 2010 babies or have had similar situations with your other children. Should I be worried?

Hi Jade! Our little girl showed signs of being ready really early (we were done with all daytime diapers at 14 months), but got a terrible week long flu around 17 months and we ended up putting her in a diaper because she just slept all day and was completely lethargic. Afterwards, it took us a long while to get fully back on track (almost a month if I remember right), but we just continued on and everything sorted itself out after that. I think it's normal to have ups and downs... Don't be worried! :)

Hey Jade,

My daughter showed interest in the potty a little after her first birthday and she was good too and it all stopped soon.. but now at 22 months she just won't go in the potty.... i am thinking about trying again around 2 and half yrs....You don't have to be worried...similar thing(relapse) happened with my brother's kid and he's doing pretty good now...

Our little guy did that too. :/ He just yesterday and today started telling us again that he had to go potty. In the in between time we just took him potty every time we went or every hour. He'd pee most of the time once we set him there, but otherwise would just go in his pant/on the floor.
