should I go by my first Sonogram?

im almost 26 weeks. i went in when i was 18 weeks to find out the sex, the doctor told us we were havin a little boy. we were hoping it was a girl. my boyfriend and I have a strong feeling that the doctor was wrong, his boy parts look to long it looks like the Cord and everyone that has seen the sonogram said the same thing.. idk when i get another one done, my friend says i should get one before 30 weeks she had the same OB/GYN as i do and she got her second one before 30 weeks... if my next one says a girl, im not sure what im going to do, should i go by my first or the second?

Hi I'm 20 weeks got told told 18 wks was having a girl now at my 20 week app a diffrent sonographer has said its a boy who don't believe??

I will definately agree with Nicole on this one. There is no mistaking a girl when you see the white lines. If you are unsure have it checked again. We hoped for a boy as we already have a little girl but we are definately having another little miss. From what I have seen on the internet statistics these days say that ultrasounds are so clear that it is near impossible (but not 100%) to get the gender wrong. I had my doctor have a look just last week to double check because I really wanted to be sure so I can get some things together for her, every girl needs a new outfit! haha

PS.....I had an ultrasound at 20 weeks and we saw the cord first and they said maybe boy, but then we saw the little white lines. I made sure to have them check again at 24 weeks for my check up ultrasound and there was still the little white lines so I knew it was still a girl :) Good luck!!

By 20 weeks, you can see the labia clearly. You will see 2 or 3 white lines for a girl and you won't see that for a boy. I found this pic online so you can see what I mean. So if you have another sonogram, you can tell if its a girl or if they still see boy parts.

It all depends on how sure the doctor or ultrasound technician is. With my kids you could see it without mistaking. We knew the sex right away.
I was a problem child when my Mom was prego with me. I wouldn't show myself, i always had my legs crossed so she didn't get to find out what i was until a few weeks before i was born.
Ultrasounds aren't 100% but sometimes you can get a really nice shot and there's no mistaking.
If you are that unsure you can always wait until you get another U/S done. Many places offer Ultrasounds just for gender determination. You could look into that as well.
