I'm just after some food ideas for my 10 month old as he still prefers milk feeds over solids. He's not a fan of puree'd food at all, I have given him bits of toast and soft food and he seems to suck on it but he's not really eating it, what are your little ones eating?

Agreed with Ocea and Janice. . .Noah even ate pizza with me tonight!! If we eat it, we try to get him to eat it, and we havent found very much that he doesn't like. He still eats the pureed fruits, but everything else is "big people" food and he LOVES it!

We're right there with Janice. My son will be 11 months on Monday, and he eats everything that we eat. In fact he eats so well that we are already having to order him his own food when we go out or we would go hungry! He loves grilled cheese sammies! He eats anything and everything that we've fed him so far! He even started feeding himself with a soft fork. It's incredibly messy, but if I help him "stab" the food, he gets it to his mouth. Last night we had cheesy chicken pasta with broccoli and he ate it up. I still have pureed food in my cupboard, but he hasn't touched any of it for a couple months. He would prefer to feed himself. As long as your little one can chew well enough, I don't see why you can't try a little bit of everything!! Have fun!

My daughter eats everything that I eat except for raw vegetables. She is eating raw tomatoes thou! She is a great eater, my advice is let them eat what you eat, I just cut it up in small pieces and she feeds herself:)

My lil (big) guy lol, eats pretty much everything that i do. My ped told me that he could even have the spicy foods that i eat. . .if he likes it, he can have it. He eats lil bits of spaghetti, tacos, chicken n noodles. . .he really likes noodles, chicken nuggets. . .most of the time, with stuff that he really has to work to chew, it takes him FOREVER to swallow it, but we give him a lil bite of mashed potatoes or oatmeal or something like that, and whatevers in his mouth goes right down with it! and he's getting to the place, just like us, that if he's eating, he HAS to have his sippy cup with something to drink in it or he wont eat! so far the only thing we've found that he wont touch are bananas! Hope this helps!

My son eats alot of the same stuff as sara wrote. It also just depends on what he can chew. Mine loves his fruit and veggies. Not a big fan of meat so he still eats the jar food for that. However I do give him dried fruit occassionally and some fruit just cut into small pieces so it's not a choke hazard.

My baby eats soft foods, mostly finger-foods. Sandwiches, rice cakes, yogurt, fruit, veg, small pieces of meat, and at dinnertime, if it's not anything exotic, I'll mash or process whatever we're eating into a lumpy sort of mashed potato consistency. She was never a huge fan of purees, though, so we might be the odd ones out. :)

My son eats primarily soft solid foods (vegetables cooked soft, cooked or soft fruits), he loves bread, I still give him jarred meats and infant cereal and his milk of course. He went thru all the stages of pureed foods first. A friend of mine has a 10 month old that never ate pureed foods. She used the baby led weaning method to get her on solids. Every baby has a different pace. I'm not sure if any of this helps, but I hope it works out for you!
