I am going to be 23 weeks tomorrow, and am really starting to freak out. I feel like it has gone by so quickly, and pretty soon its time for baby showers and birth! Where does the time go, and how do I know if Im prepared or still need to get things together? ... First pregnancy- can you tell? :P

This is my first too. I'm 29 weeks. Over the course of this pregnancy I've gone from relaxed to fanatical to relaxed. Now I'm more relaxed. I have found myself occasionally feeling really overwhelmed or depressed because (and yes I actually said this while blubbering) "the pregnancy is going to be over and before I know it she'll be a teenager yelling at me in the kitchen that she hates me." Now I'm just ready for her to be out. I hurt and I'm tired and I get depressed that I just don't have the energy or ability to do something of the things I want to do. Try not to freak out. Brittany's post was great and truly you already have what your baby needs (if you plan to breastfeed) and then you need diapers for obvious reasons. As far as the birth goes, the best advice I got was from my Prepared Childbirth instructor. She said birth rarely goes exactly as planned so having a detailed birth plan sets you up to fail. Instead she says to know what you want, but to remember in the end that the most important thing is a healthy mom and a healthy baby.

lol. I had things ready for my daughter by 28 weeks. I even had diapers. I ended up packing my hospital bag 2 months before my due date. >
