Hi Aprile my lil man was born at 27wks bless him and is doing well bless him.How early was your lil miracle?

Connie,I have phoned a couple of nurseries near where i live in the uk and they say its a liability incase they get his meds wrong. He also has a tendancy of holding his breath during feeds and goes floppy. He needs watching for a while after his feed to make sure he is ok and they havnt got staff to do 1 to 1 care which is understandable.Thankyou for replying to my post

My daycare administers medications to children (they're a federal daycare place, too). You have to fill out med cards for each med, but they'll do it. I think you should check your local daycare centers and ask. And things change as they get older, dependent on how they're thriving.

Hi Aprile,
Thanks for the reply. As far as im aware my son will be needing meds till he is 1yrs old min so his pedeatrician informed me.I thought that wld be case re nursery because of liable reasons and them administering the wrong med by accident.Looks like i wont be returning to work for a while. Many thanks for your help

Hi there, I've worked in quite a few nursery/daycare situations and from my experience workers are not allowed to give any medications. They do that for insurance and liability reasons. Will he for sure still need those meds then?
