im 14 weeks with my first [due jan 24th] and when i lay down and stay still at night i swear i can feel my belly/uterus streaching....or something. it feels like something round is trying to slowly push out of my belly button [well a bit lower than that] idk i feel like i sound as if i am on drugs lol, but i was just woundering how many others feel this feeling?? [i know its not gas moving...i deff knowwhat that feels like]

also. how safe is it to lose 6 lbs by week 13 when you have only gained 5 since becoming pregnant? my dr dosent seem worried, but it dosent seem right.

thanks all =]

I feel the stretching too and can start to feel the baby roll around in my belly. I can actually tell when the baby is awake! It's so awesome. I read up on the stretching on babycenter.com I think was the website and it says to expect a lot of that especially b/t 15-20 weeks. This Friday I will be 16 weeks or 4 months and I'm sure my post is screaming first time mommy but if you haven't guessed it, I am. :) It's so cool to actually feel stuff going on in my belly. I can't feel anything specific like kicking or anything but I feel the baby. And about the weight loss, it will fluctuate. I go in and sometimes it's a pound or two less than my previous visit (I don't know how since I feel like a cow). My doc says it's normal too. It shouldn't have an affect on the baby since he/she only weighs about 2 ounces right now but as you get further along and the baby gets bigger, you should start to notice the lbs :)

=] so glad to know im not the only one...its weird tho, i havent had ANY morning sickness, that would be a main reason to lose weight, but with all the sleep and lack of energy [and eating more] youd think id gain more. but it is true, i still have a lot of time to gain =]
and that non gas feeling, i get it soooo often, its really weird when its that feeling AND gas lol. but i love the feeling, just knowing my baby is growing makes me so happy and excited.

thanks for the input =]

I've lost 8lbs my first trimester (due Jan 23).
My dr said it's normal because of my morning sickness. He said as long as I keep up with my prenatal and keep myself hydrated it's ok. He said as I enter my 2nd trimester my morning sickness will start to subside and I'll be able to eat and gain weight.

I can feel it, too!! And there's a definite difference between that feeling and gas!

As for the weight, it's perfectly all right. I've lost weight this time, too, and with my first two I lost 7-10 pounds in the first trimester. Trust me when I say you have plenty of time to gain it all back! :-)
