June 16 for me! My husband thinks it's so funny that I have a countdown for everything and I update him every week on what size the baby is (it's a lentil this week!)... I can't help being so excited! Only 2 more weeks and 5 more days till we get to see our little peanut for the first time!!!

Wow, my first appointment was on May21st. They said they make the first appointment 6 weeks after the first day of your last cycle. I enjoy the sono and have never heard anything bad about them. I had one during my appointment and i could see the heart beat and hear it a little. It was still a bit early but it was good. It makes me think that everything is ok. During my last two pregnancies I had three sonos done. Routinely my doctor does one during the first visit, again around 18-20 weeks to determine sex, and again after 32 weeks to ensure the development of the lungs and such.

I found out i was preg on april 26th and i had my 1st appt on May 8th. they wanted to get me in right away bc don't have a thyroid. It was a bit early and they couldnt see much more than a "bubble" so my next appt is on may 26th. 4 more days!

Kenny- We did the natural thing and went to a Bradley teacher for education - she was over the top. One thing she mentioned was that the technology is unchecked. How "high" are the techs supposed to set the machine?
How do the waves affect the thing it is boucing off of? (I say thing cause we use them in the construction industry all the time) Human tissue is much different then metal plates or pipes. Effective for both things I guess.
Don't get me wrong - even though I knew this info for the 2st (half way thru) I loved each and every time I got to see my baby! I couldn't even be critical of the level... just show me my son!!! :)

SR : really ? You crazy mum ;o)
SMc: what did you hear about ultrasounds ? My doctor made one every time and I loved it and was hoping my new doctor to do the same (I moved and had to change). I'm looking forward to your appointment, so you can tell us everything !
I have an appointment on the 4th of June.

Really? Mine is next week! Maybe my HMO just wants to be on top of things? They gave me way to many ultrasounds the first time - I am okay just hearing the heart and I read something negative about ultrasounds once... I just want to hear the heart, too - make it more real.
How does that machine work Sara?
